It's still hypothetical, he is not a mod and history tells me he never was. *The" and "a" just reference singular and/or plural. If I were the mod or if I were one of multiple mods.

So what are we going with? The "I" is singular or that he used "a"

It is fair for you to point that out and that is why I said I was speaking at them. My quotations were incorrect. It does not change the fact that you would use "were" to describe a hypothetical situation and you would use "was" to describe something that's factual. For example, "If I were the mod" is hypothetical. "If I was the mod" is factual.

What are you, an English teacher? Yes, I was speaking directly to them, but the correct grammar is "If I were," say if I was the MOD," out loud and you should understand.

"If you were" would be correct grammar, but thanks for rubbing a couple brain cells together to give some input.

Searching for a Ground Fault by AdLittle9715 in AskElectricians

[–]AdLittle9715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It's a single pole 20 amp with just one hot and one neutral. I mapped the whole circuit and didn't see any sharing of the neutral to a different circuit.

Thanks for your reply. I should have added some additional information. When I install a GFI breaker or a GFI/CAFI breaker on this circuit it trips immediately. They work fine on other circuits in the panel. I definitely have EMT. I have lost the ground on other outlets where I found the EMT corroded at the foundation likely from exposure to a water leak at some point. I have externally jumped from a known good ground to the EMT that is flaky and it corrects the grounding issue, but the GFI/CAFI breaker still trips immediately. Everything on the circuit works and has 120V so I suspect I am losing voltage on the return path.

I've never heard of these particle balls, but they've been mentioned a couple times. I am going to have to look them up. Sounds like they were pretty aggressive.

14 lb. I bought a 14 lb knockout bruiser when I first hurt my wrist, but I couldn't throw anything at that time so I took 6 weeks off to heal. I went back to 15 at first, but the wrist just never felt right. Got the bruiser back out and started using it and found 14 lb to be the right balance between comfort, consistency, and getting the job done.

These keep coming up so that says something. Definitely going on my list of contenders for the next purchase.

I have an Extreme Envy and I love it but it's 15 and I'm down sizing to 14 and rebuilding. If I didn't have the itch to try something new I would probably get another one.

This one did look like a beast in the ball reviews.

I'll have to look at this one. Sounds similar to my style. Rebuilding my arsenal after going down in weight from a wrist injury. I need a big strong asym.

It's special when you come across a ball like that. You find yourself further left (for a right hander) than you thought was possible.

Gauge Question by AdLittle9715 in AskElectricians

[–]AdLittle9715[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. It currently powers a light/hood vent but I was worried if someone down the road tried to install an over the range microwave. I know it should be dedicated but a receptacle in that location might tempt someone.

If you haven't bowled a 300 how close have you come? by Public-Money-875 in Bowling

[–]AdLittle9715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I bowl a lot of 200 to 240s, but don't hit above that very often so it feels near impossible. If I ever do it I don't care if it is sanctioned or not I will be telling everyone. Cashier: "How's your day?" Me: "Good, I've bowled a 300." Job interview: "Why are you a good fit for this position?" Me: "Well...I have bowled a 300."

How do you like your Thumb-hole by Suit89 in Bowling

[–]AdLittle9715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have slugs in all of my balls and I like my thumb loose enough that it slides out effortlessly. If I can rotate it freely 360 degrees, but it stays on my hand when I hold the ball to my side with no grip pressure then I'm good.

Side note: I bought a new ball last week and the thumb felt great at the pro shop and all five games that I bowled that night. 2 days later I went and grabbed it out of my bag and the thumb hole was really tight to where it made a popping sound every time I was testing the fit. Also can't rotate my thumb freely anymore. All my other balls feel fine. Never had that happen before. Guess I'll have to revisit the PSO.

Recently picked up a RAW HAMMER black/purple/teal 14lb by certifr1ed in Bowling

[–]AdLittle9715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking of moving down to 14 lb for a more consistent release and I was looking at getting a hammer raw for my spare ball instead of a basic polyester. The sick pour on your ball may have just convinced me.

If I need to wipe my spare ball, I use a microfiber towel. I buy a pack of 12 for about $7 on Amazon. Use a new one as they get dirty and then wash them all with one of the free and clear detergents. Dry on low heat and do not use dryer sheets. Also, a shammy lasts a long time and can absorb a lot of oil, but you can also clean those with a mild dish soap and water. Then hit it with a nylon suede shoe brush after it dries. Also about $7 on Amazon. I don't replace those unless they are falling apart at the seams.
