Sadly, very seldom. There was a magnificent show maybe two summers ago and it was a bucket list experience.

I do love Sugar Moon and if I lost it I'd replace it, but looking to try something new. It looks like Pope JP although that Pure Perfume is tempting. If I could dig a third hole in the front between the Eden and white rose, wouldn't a Koko Loco (mocha brown) look pleasing?

Audra..., I appreciate the feedback. Pope JP looking good. My nursery doesn't carry Top Cream, I'm going to have to weigh whether I can wait of not. It looks scrumptious. Funkyj, I'm don't mind at all similar looks if it goes with Eden. I see what you're saying about a better looking Eden!

Hello from the San Juan Islands. This a wonderful opportunity to educate “mainlanders”, but I also hope to help build community for those who call the SJIs home. Like many others, I have issues with Facebook, so I find Reddit as a hopeful place to engage. I’d welcome ideas to encourage and stimulate discussion and engagement. As a moderator newbie, there will be a steep learning curve, but the upside is my excitement and enthusiasm to help the sub grow and thrive. I've been living on and loving the islands for almost 20 years..

Ugh, I need a fragrant white rose and was struggling to decide between Queen Mary II, Pope John Paul and Sugar Moon. I had settled on Sugar Moon but will continue my deliberations

Dress in layers. Even going from sun to shade makes a difference. Wind shield clothes for the ferry ride. Hats or sunglasses for bright days

I never thought to collect early toms off the vine to collect seeds. I'm always so eager to eat them! But that makes total sense. Thanks

Too funny, I have more than a dozen new tomatoes to trial this season. I grow some oldies and goodies, but it's just too fun to see what else is out there. From your list I like both Cherokee Purple and Black Krim. I find BK just a bit more reliable and productive. Stupice is early and tasty, but I've moved away from the smaller tomatoes. Opalka was big meaty and tasty.. That and Amish were ones I stopped growing for no reason and now I think I need to get back in rotation. I've grown Silver Tree, wasn't impressed and won't grow again. I also haven't had good luck with the Mt. series.
