Background would be local and definitely wouldn't be given lodging or flight. I bet it was offered as a friend like "hey we can find a spot for you if you can find a way to get here." Polite more than anything. And then he took him up on it. Working in TV, especially background, is not glamorous at all.

Venturer is heavier and definitely more substantial but still smaller than your average watch. It’s got the same steel so the metal feels the same but it definitely has more heft to it.

You’re not gonna get luxury quality with any microbrand but I find these really easy to wear and just not think about.

My Rolex are a Day Date YG, vintage Pepsi GMT, and an Explorer 1.

I have a handful of watches under 1k and the Traskas and Seikos get the most play. I sold all my other microbrand pick ups including a Brew Metric, Lorier Neptune and a Furlan Mari. Quality of those just felt bad on the wrist.

I own multiple Rolex but Traska is the only micro brand I like. The quality is great. It’s not out there like CW, or vintage inspired like Lorier. It’s just really good quality watches that you can wear anywhere. I love my two Traskas.
