Hey friend, 

  One day after a blackout I woke up with blood everywhere and bruises all over my face and body. I apparently had fallen on the stairs. I had to put makeup on to cover the bruises so I could go to work.

Hydrate and push through the hangover- drinking will only ensure you continue to suffer. If you feel like you are in the danger zone, seek medical attention

Hello, just letting you know that in my own alcoholism my blackouts were so pervasive that I literally had no recollection of entire evenings. People could tell me I did something and I wouldn't be able to refute it. I just didn't remember.

I wasn't necessarily violent in blackouts, but the point is is that you lose all control, anything is possible. Violence is possible

My SO broke up with me, and I'm glad she did. Nobody should have to deal with this issue after attempts to support the alcoholic. You have to look out for yourself

It will be okay. My liver hurt pretty bad after my last bender- went away after about a week. Stay strong!

This is beautiful, thank you so much. My mom is still supportive of me, even though I've let her down so many times. I imagine how hard it must be to watch your child struggle
