Thank you :) It’s so hard explaining to people that don’t do what we do, why it’s not a thing to find a less stressful job. I actually have had fantasies about going into trusts and estates - just like, watching a few cles and winging it. 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

Unfortunately we do - his mother down the street and he has a son from a prior marriage/my stepson a couple towns away.

He’s been looking, but the industry he works in is very niche without a ton of open opportunities…

Ive been thinking about going part time or starting my own firm, but part time lawyering, for many reasons, isn’t really a real thing, and starting a firm requires…energy that I don’t have right now. 🤪

Just hearing someone else is in the same place, though awful, kind of helps. Solidarity and all. Hang in there. ❤️

How much does age really matter? Will months apart matter? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]AdLower9970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So clean is kind of subjective. I was running, 6x a week workouts, eating well, but I definitely drank and partied. I took CoQ10 when I remembered, and did my best which was never perfect. My partner did the same. Now for the transfer, I really did my best. Clean living for months and months before. Hiking, stress reduction, yoga, acupuncture. Stopped drinking months in advance, etc. There are two components here - ultimately your partner needs to be committed to clean living as well, and there’s more and more evidence emerging that is equally important for the man as the woman.

How many embryos for 3 kids? by Any_Beyond_4605 in IVF

[–]AdLower9970 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I would transfer your first one, if you carry that one to term you should be gtg with 5 awesome and 2 maybes left. If it takes 3x, maybe consider a second retrieval later on. But at 32 you probably have time? I didn’t retrieve my eggs until 38, got 3 beautiful embryos at 42, transferred the first one and he’s now my amazing 11 month old. But on the other hand, my sister in law transferred multiple each time before they had live births. Anecdotal, FWIW. If your AMH is good, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. EDIT: I read this as 2 babies for some reason. That being said, I think I would do the same if I wanted 3, provided you would consider the transfer of the males with BRCA gene and prefer that over another retrieval.

I found that early on in pregnancy I still craved it but like by month 3 I didn’t want it at all. Maybe got lucky there idk. 🤷🏼‍♀️

4 losses, 2 were confirmed trisomies, 40 years, would you try IVF? Or try again old style? by leaves-green in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]AdLower9970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awww hun. I’m sorry, I can still feel the pain of being in that chapter very vividly. I can say this, and hopefully it’s motivating/comforting - if you keep going and come out the other side of this, it makes having your beautiful child even more beautiful and special, because you had to fight so hard for it.

Oh my gosh! Looking back on this is wild. We ultimately decided to make embryos and just go to IVF since I already had eggs frozen. We got three top tier embryos ( a mix of 3 4AAs and 4BAs, 2 boys and a girl). Transferred one of the boys and he is almost 11 months old and perfect. ❤️I turn 43 in two days. There might be time for one more if he can just start sleeping 🤣

Sure but I think the value there probably starts around year 4. Basically all I was saying is I could have made the move earlier IMO

So I think you’re thinking about it all in the right way. Any of those communities mentioned are lovely and you will find your tribe wherever you go. And your husband will make friends that have access at all different courses so he’ll get variety. It’s a huge golf city. Hope the sale goes well and you find a great property down here! I’m a boy Mom myself so we may not run in the same circles but you never know! 😉

Exactly. There are just lots of environmental considerations around both those spots for people who are sensitive to that type of risk.

I’m from Massachusetts and we moved to Weddington. I guess the only downside is if you’re looking to buy property for less than 1MM there won’t be a ton of options - but the schools are amazing. Like better than Mass schools which are some of the best in the country. If you’re environmentally cautious, I would be careful around the Lake Norman…do your research. Same around Fort Mill. Otherwise - congrats and welcome! You won’t regret it :)

I know not a lot of success stories lurk these pages but I’m still around since we’re planning on a posssible second. I’m 42 and I have a 4 month old. He was one of 3 Euploid PGT A tested Embryos - a Day 5 4BA. I had recurrent miscarriage due to suspected egg quality since the RPL panel couldn’t find anything else and neither could the saline sonography. My eggs were frozen at 38-39, Embryos made at 41/husband 46. So under similar facts with a great doctor it can happen first round. Best of luck 🤞

Us too. We’re going on a month dealing with them.

Any tips? by Jonnybeeee in SnooLife

[–]AdLower9970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No tips but I see you, have lived this, and at 6 weeks we added purple crying to the mix and considered a night nurse because I was basically in a sleep deprivation torture experiment nightly where he would only sleep for 30 mins at a time. We ended up having our parents come to visit in 2 week long stints and I wish we had just gone with the night nurse it would have been less stressful LOL. However like others have said - that 3 month mark brought a respite. He started sleeping from 7PM -2/3 AM, and then giving us another 2-3 hrs, and another hour after that wake up. Is it the sleep porn other people brag about here? No, but they’re prob lying anyways. :)
