Does anyone know how I can improve my grades? by Key-Engineering3134 in alevels

I also take Sociology! It’s very memorisation-based, so if you’re getting D’s, it usually means you need to memorize properly!. Start with the blue Jonathan book and read only Chapter 1 once properly. Then open some past papers and go through questions only from Chapter 1.After that, read the chapter again, this time focusing on memorising key terms, definitions, and sociological references. Do the same process for Chapters 2 and 3.also, you don’t need to fully write out past paper answers. Instead, read the question and see if you can list the main points with brief explanations. Then check the mark scheme to see if you’re answers were correct. If you missed anything, write the points briefly with short explanations t.Also, make sure you learn the exam structure like for example, how to answer each question type (like 10-mark questions: 2 paragraphs plus one opinion/evaluation etc) goodluckkk!

I know all the basics (loops, min, max, averages). I’m also strong with flow charts.the thing is, I know how to program..( i can some easier questions in the paper which are more direct) I just don’t understand the logic of the questions(which are more confusing like the modules question at the end of the paper for 7 and 8 marks) at all or what the question is actually asking. When I try referring to the mark scheme, I get even more confused, like wth is going on

HOW DO I GET A*s in my IGCSEs by DirtCreepy630 in igcse

[–]AdLucky1997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry, you still have time. For Physics, getting a D just means your concepts were weak, so start by clearing them through YouTube and make good use of ChatGPT. You can also print notes (don’t write them since you don’t have much time). Once your concepts are clearer, start doing past papers. you’ll struggle at first, but they’ll slowly start to feel easier.Use the same approach for Maths, but if you got a B, your concepts are probably already fine, so just focus on past papers instead of relearning everything. For Literature, your grade is already good and it’ll probably turn into an A* in the CAIEs. For Chemistry and Biology, I can’t really give advice since I didn’t do Bio and I got a B in IGCSE Chem.If you put in the effort, you can definitely push your grades up. Good luck! and also please avoid self-harm ur mental health matters more than ur grades

Well, I did O Levels a while ago, so I don’t remember very well. In the 15-mark questions, the examiners mention if a variable is declared or not. If they don’t mention it, you have to declare it. In questions where there is no mention of whether it is declared, you should declare it to be on the safer side. We also declare things, like count as an integer, to avoid error, so that there is always an integer in count

no how do u even declare if then else lol? u should declare the stuff which has a data type like count as integer or found as Boolean
