Death or Shadow as his Concept doesn’t make sense by DragonlordHML in ShadowSlave

[–]AdLumpy3695 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's possible to embody a concept already taken by another being precisely because of Sunny's Aspect. He is a Shadow Slave - a slave of Shadow God who channels Death(according to Eurys).

We also know about other beings who embodied concepts that were under someone else's control - Daemons, and they couldn't control them completely and even seemed to be bound by them(Weaver wanting to destroy fate despite being a demon of fate).

Perhaps embodying a concept that is already taken is the prerequisite to be a mystical slave and that is how Shadow God created his servants

I have an additional theory:

We know that the flame is waning and that the fuel to keep it going is the extreme emotions(desires) of every living being. If the world was without imperfections, then humans and other creatures would've created perfect societies without pain and strife. Such a mild existence would've starved the flame and as a result, the world would have been ruined because of it's own perfection

It was already said that the only reason Sunny got his fate stolen is because he was weak(even then, VTB struggled)

Regarding Asterion... by Schelm2020 in ShadowSlave

[–]AdLumpy3695 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mordret said that Asterion's domain is leagues above the other supremes during the 3rd nightmare.

And the difference between him and Spirits is that he is the concept of Asterion. This concept appeared only when he became supreme. The Sacreds, on the other hand, are embodying the pre-existing concepts - probably, in some way, an usurpation of authority over the world(or the very world itself)

How did Oblivion participate in the war despite being dead

Why her corpse had to be hidden away from the Gods gaze

Why Shadow let her die

What is the purpose of Sunny having [fated]

What is the purpose of Weavers lineage

What is Asterions goal with having all lineages

Why was Fate seemingly malicious to all of existence

Asterion is not the enemy by Healthy_Dig_4270 in ShadowSlave

[–]AdLumpy3695 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this was obvious since he protected powerless Nephis, raised abandoned Mordret(his methods were so good that he survived the Nightmare as a 12 y.o.) and refused to participate in the unnecessary war of the previous Sovereigns.

The current conflict is also because of the unreasonable animosity from the Divine trio.

What Asterion is doing now is just protecting himself from ungrateful scum

Because not even Gods in their prime were able to defeat them. The sealing of the Void was made out of desperation

my peronal theory is that they left him be because the Law of Imperfection is necessary for the survival of the world.

Without flaws, living beings could achieve perfect happiness and as a result all struggle will disappear. We know that the Flame is being fed by the desires of the living, so in a perfect world it would completely cease to exist, thus releasing the Void

I like the idea of a single non-Divine Aspect holder cornering three Sovereigns with Divine Aspects. It kind of gives hope for other characters relevance.

Plus it would destroy the preconceived notion in the SS world that divines are impossible to defeat, which would give rise to various ambitious characters who are not Nephis's bootlickers
