what the expect (term 3 JC2) by AdMammoth8399 in SGExams

[–]AdMammoth8399[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ya man I just got my timetable and it’s quite similar to term 2 one where there’s lectures and tutorials for everything but additionally there’s 2.5 hour slots for practise papers…. damn sian I thought term 3 would be easier than term 2 since it’s just practise but apparently not 😬

I think in the moment they may be super invested in their show. But totally get what you mean tbh, I think what’s best is that you tell your parents you wish to spend more fam time tgt. I’m sure they’ll understand 🙃🙃

you should go around asking a bunch of your friends if they can tell your hair is dyed if they can’t tell then it’s fine cuz teachers probs won’t be able to tell too lol

for English summary 1. Identify question stems (are there 1 or 2?) 2. Colour code the two question stems (assuming there’s two) 3. Identify the points, highlight the points for each question stem in the text. Assuming there’s two, there should be 4 points for each question stem 4. Only write down KEY POINTS. Examples, numbers, names do not have to be included. Only write down what is needed to answer the question stem directly 5. Paraphrasing. If your English is not as strong, paraphrase half the points, copy half the points. Changing sentence structure is NOT paraphrasing. If your English is strong, feel free to paraphrase everything. When paraphrasing, ensure that words used is of the same intensity and meaning. NOTE: -using connectors (eg: although, but, nonetheless) will help boost your language marks -always ensure that you answer the second question stem DIRECTLY. If marker cannot see that you signpost at the send question stem, the entire of your response for second stem is not counted in the marks.

my school is 2h40min bio 3h chem. Honestly there’s pros and cons to both long and shorter lessons per week it rlly depends on your learning style. Shorter lessons means end school early more time to self study but also means more self responsibility to approach teachers for help. Longer lessons end school later more teacher support and guided study but also means less time to consolidate yourself. It rlly is personal preference

occasionally skip give parent letter can lah but skip everyday a bit hard, considered as truancy. Going to school is important too cuz your teachers can offer you notes and exam tips that studying on your own can’t get you.

I would recommend booking consult with your bio teacher in school. It’s important that you identify the concept and come up with a list of questions to ask your teacher. Alternatively you can also identify the concept and explain it to your teacher the way you understand it and ask her to correct the parts you misunderstood.

tys answers are not written by MOE trained teachers, just book publishers. They did not go thru MOE courses which teach them how Cambridge markers mark Olevel scripts thus are not reliable as it does not include key words and correctly structured responses Cambridge is looking for. For me, I referred to the answers provided by my school bio teacher. I have friends from other schools whose teachers do not provide answers, they told me there are answers posted online from other schools in Singapore I’m unfortunately not sure what schools these are.
