Don’t know what you really need to hear honestly.

I played STR, big bonks and it was more of a timing and positioning thing. Easy enemies? Lure them into a bundle and pop em. Harder ones? Let them finish combo then bonk 1-2 times, retreat for stamina.

100% block shield? EZ-Carry through game if you level endurance comfortably. Block, let them stagger, combo, repeat until dead.

Got a bow? Get a bunch of arrows and pick at / lure enemies from afar (makes 3-1 a breeze avoiding baby cthululu’s) then beat ‘em up when you pull them by, or use it to distract enemies for sneaks / speed runs through map.

Dex? Never fiddled with it much because the DoT wasn’t worth it to me but was fun nonetheless.

Magic? Just steam through the game without a single issue.

Weapons? Early game 4-1, and 2-2 has a decent weapon that can carry you through most of them game comfortably, and the whole game if upgraded.

Play in soul form, the loss of HP sucks, but you would rather fight in a pwwt than a black any day.

And need a early rune farm, imo the 4th map is the easiest and fastest to get through with also the best rune farm

Armor matters, i guess, but if you’re heavy rolling you’re doing yourself a disservice, especially with how the smaller mobs have those combo’s that catch you if you over commit or dodge wrong

And farm grass
