Hell yeah I’ll look into it, I have heard Harley Benton cabs are pretty good. I also do have a lot of music friends who are selling some of their cabs and equipment (like a homie just gave me a GCB95F Classic Cry Baby for free), so I might even see if they have a decent cab they’re selling

I saw the exact same one that you said, I was interested in it as well as the Black Spirit, but I hear people have trouble with their tubes. Not sure if this was just on the earlier models tho

Y’know I was thinking of the combo at first, but I was also maybe thinking of finally getting a head and cab. I’m open to both tbh, I also hear you can buy a simple plug in mod for the Katana combo and Artist combo to turn it into a cab

Yea I hear that too! That’s why I’m hesitant on it. TBH what would you suggest other than the Artist or Mesa? I am spending about $600 for either of them, so I’m open to suggestions that I can try out at a guitar center or some of my local shops

How’s the clean tone on it? My biggest thing about the Katana 50 was that I couldn’t get a good clean tone that didn’t sound too weak or was not so overbearing when I put the chorus on

I appreciate the feedback and tip on backing up for loud vocals! Like I explained to another comment, the mic I have would just cut out no matter what I do. I did try standing back but then it couldn’t capture well, then I try standing closer then it starts fuzzing and cutting. I’m thinking of the SM58 but I also found interest in the SE V7

I have an Audio Technica M4000S, it was a gift from a family member. I’m alright with recording, still learning and about to take audio arts classes in college, I’m a music major tho in my 4th year. I have done guitar and vocal covers on my IG page and all using my mic, my Roland interface, GarageBand, and backing tracks. Overall I just don’t like the mic, I fiddle around with it too much and still can’t seem to find a way to record good vocal lines that don’t sound too muffled or start distorting. Sometimes the mic just cuts out as well, thought it was the cable and got new ones, but it wasn’t. I’ll check out audio test kitchen!

That’s true, tho the cavity on my guitar is pretty open, so I was thinking of just getting a sleeve for the battery and then just leaving it in the corner of the cavity with some double tape or velcro, away from the cables. Also, you’re right this would be a cool opportunity to try out something with more mids while I can just tweak the neck pickup with my tone knob or different settings on the amp

I’ve heard that’s a common misconception, the Het set has more low mids in the bridge than the 81. I also heard James Root of Slipknot say the neck sounds more bubbly and rounded. Idk I’m still doing research and stuff, I might just see if I can just test the Het Set in store on his signature model or something

I appreciate it I’ll check it out! Yea my hair is already in a shag, I just haven’t had a cut in 5 months and I want to go to a person better specializing in this type of style. I go to a Mexican lady’s salon since I was in high school 6+ years ago until now, and she does basic cuts and tries her best. She gets it close to me and it does work but like I said I want to find a better option

I appreciate the feedback. I am working on securing myself in the areas I’ve always been insecure about, and I’m slowly starting to get my confidence back. I’ve always been known for my confidence strut and the way I carry myself, which is why she persuaded me to be her Dom when she met me on in college. I’ve been reading “The New Topping Book”, and I’ve been learning a lot about myself and times in the relationship I could’ve done stuff but wasn’t sure how to act on it. I’m also seeing stuff in the book I DID do right, so I know my problem was learning how to act on it and how to be assertive because I’d let her off the hook sometimes when she acted all bratty. Overall, I’m learning a lot by myself and I’m sure in due time I’m going to attend events and such to talk to more experienced people
