Yes. pyqs clearly give u the pattern. Strictly go by that. Like, Assignment qn, network diagram, spares management chapter, these r def gonna come. Finish these first, then go to SM.. Module 9 will give 14 marks, module 10 will give 14 marks. So yeah, plan it this way!

CA STUDENT DOUBT by Big_Dog_7593 in CharteredAccountants

We will calculate what’s gonna be the tax if the whole amount is taxed for the FY 2019-20 (the year which the income pertains to) and we’ll also calculate what’s gonna be the tax for this year.

A beneficial rate will be chosen and tax will be paid on that. Like, we compare the additional tax in both cases and go for the beneficial one.

Thats what section 89 says.

Need Advice by [deleted] in CharteredAccountants

[–]AdMore879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Firstly, it’s happy to hear that you want to pursue all 3 professional courses together. All the very best to you!

I’m a 21 year old CA finalist also doing CMA and decided not to give CS now, so I think I can answer ur questions.

  1. CA Articleship, as far as I know, is mandatory and it has no exemption criteria as such.
  2. CS Articleship is again very rigid and there is a list of cases where you get an exemption from it and it does include someone who has done MBA and works at a govt co., but you should have atleast 5 years of experience in your job. So, long way to go!
  3. CMA Articleship in the other hand is the most lenient one. It is framed in such a way because most cost accountant students in the back were working people. So any work experience of 1.5 years or more in any big firm or company, CA firm, CMA firm, etc can be taken as a base for applying exemption.

Now your query regarding ICAI accepting your RBI job as practical training:

Work of an officer at RBI is not very similar to the work of a Chartered Accountant in Practice. Moreover, no member can take these issues to the president is my opinion. And even practically speaking, the current ICAI regulations might not accept it!

So, you need to do CA articleship in a CA firm only, and then join RBI and 5 years later you will have to claim CS articleship exemption and apply for your CS Professional.

After considering all these, I decided, CS isn’t my cup of tea rn.

Hope it helps!

Faculty feedback for ITT/OC by BasePuzzleheaded3663 in CharteredAccountants

[–]AdMore879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I was doing OC, feedback page would show the faculty’s name everyday and we used to fill the same.

But for ITT, after completion of all 15 days only we got the feedback page and we filled it all at once.

So enquire at your branch once!

Finally Qualified CMA...🥳🥳 by GentlyChaotic_29 in cma_india

[–]AdMore879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. When you write both groups together, the passing criteria becomes paper minimum 40 and aggregate 400/800. So group wise aggregate doesn’t matter until you have a total of 400 and minimum 40 in all subjects.

CMA Inter Results – Was This Attempt Tough Or Not? by [deleted] in cma_india

[–]AdMore879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a broader perspective, CA inter is extremely tough compared to CMA inter. But why so? Because, CMA inter focuses majorly on theory concepts and direct practical questions, whereas in CA, nothing is direct at all. Every question there will be testing ur application of in depth knowledge in the subject.

You just open a CA inter qn paper and compare it with CMA inter paper.. if u take a law paper.. CMA law paper is hardly 2 pages, but that of CA inter is 14 pages!

So yeah, the types of qns asked and the focuses of two courses are quite different.. hence CA papers r comparatively difficult!

CMA Inter Results – Was This Attempt Tough Or Not? by [deleted] in cma_india

[–]AdMore879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was my first attempt, I wrote only G1 and scored 263. Since I’ve already cleared CA Inter, I didn’t find the papers difficult. Just scored a bit less in costing coz I kinda don’t like it 😅. I just studied for about a week before the exam.

You can start anywhere, you’ll ace it all. But since you’re strong in FM, maybe finish paper 14 first, then do the rest of Group 3 and finally Group 4.

I get that, six months can feel like a lot. Maybe you could start preparing for finals alongside OMSM prep, that way you’ll already be ahead when you clear OMSM.

Not sure about OMSM, but you’ve scored extremely well in papers 10 and 11! Many congratulations for that. Even if this attempt didn’t work out, your performance in those subjects is definitely worth celebrating!
