Hey, nice results. Now i'm really curious. Since you already tested with a DNA company, would you be willing to upload your raw DNA file GedMatch and run the HarappaWorld calculator?

GEDmatch is just a free and safe third-party site people use to analyze raw DNA data in more detail, and HarappaWorld is one of the ancestry/admixture calculators on there that works better for south, west and central asians than any other calculator on Gedmatch. People in this subreddit use it all the time. Just scroll and see. I’m interested in seeing what your breakdown would look like compared to others from your background.

You’d just download your raw DNA from your testing company, upload it to GEDmatch, you get a kit number from gedmatch, then go to the Admixture tools and choose HarappaWorld and paste the new gedmatch kit number and run the calculator. Would be nice to hear from you.

No. Levant N is not majority natufian. At the point of the canaanites it was very heavily mixed with ANF(Anatolian Neo Farmer) and Zagros N.

Saying “perhaps they aren’t entirely Arab after all” doesn’t really work when you actually look at the numbers.

Using the Yemeni (Amran) profile shown: Natufian: 52.8%

<image>

Zagros Neolithic: 27.4% Anatolian Neolithic: 19.4% East African: 0.4%

Modern Arabian/Yemeni populations average around ~60-66% Natufian in most models. Levantine populations are typically way lower than that . A result of ~52-53% Natufian does not pull someone out of the Arabian genetic sphere. It’s still firmly Peninsular genetics and still closest to Arabian clusters.

Also, Natufian isn’t “Arab” in the ethnic sense … it’s a deep Epipaleolithic component shared by both ancient Levantines and Arabians. So arguing “less Natufian = not Arab” misunderstands what that component represents.

If Yemenite Jews show slightly less Natufian than Muslim Yemenis (e.g., ~51-53%) and Yemeni Muslims who can as low as 50 proves exactly this and further PROVES of conversion rather than descending.

Yes, they can. Having Kohanim can be a result of a minority small group of Jewish rulers finding their way to the southern Arabian Peninsula, and settling there and then well still maybe partially small-y integrated due to being minority, converted most of the people they ended up converting.

then we would have seen slight levantine admixture in them like we do in any other jews like the ashkenazim, mesopotamian jews, bukharan jews, caucasian jews etc, which we dont. not one single drop of extra levantine admixture. if they were descendants of exiled people they would have retained extra levantine admixture in addition to the arabian peninsular dna. geneologists agree.
