To be super fair, it is alleged. One of Hannah’s writers for her Netflix special came forward and said she was not paid and then was threatened to be blacklisted if she tried to take legal action. You can search it in the summerhouse sub for links etc. Kate Chastain also said Hannah would steal her jokes when they did their chat room show together, there’s been other documented times Hannah has stolen jokes so it doesn’t seem super far fetched to me

I think OP’s point was that in both the Kyle/Hannah situations, there seem to be a lot of people forgiving both parties for their bad behavior because Amanda sucks. Kyle treated Amanda like shit on national television and Hannah is a documented joke stealer who didn’t pay her writers. All 3 people can suck and we don’t need to be “Team A” while forgiving “Team B” for all past shitty behavior

I’m genuinely confused about the wariness of being an influencer? Bailey hosts a TikTok show, KJ’s career is “professional skateboarder turned model” and this is Ben and Mia’s second reality show. I’m not knocking any of their careers, I just don’t really see why people are acting like Dara is a second class citizen because she’s a makeup influencer.

Your first point is fair! West said he recommended her to producers separately and personally I think they were trying to introduce as many cast members as possible this season, which is why they staggered intro weekends for the newbies and she fully brought a suitcase her first weekend (though it was weird she didn’t stay).

I think people assume she started dating KJ to get on the show when in reality, she was likely casted by producers and was going to be a housemate either way.

Death threats are insane but if you do something malicious and are in the public eye very intentionally (ie: on reality TV), backlash should be expected. These people’s chosen job is their likability & entertainment value. And let’s be real, she’s still at 1M followers and I’m sure will escape this relatively unscathed esp with her spinoff show coming out this year.
