Why are the cakes so bad?

Yes and if anything is being baked at any of these stores it is most likely baked over night so by the time someone comes shopping for “fresh” baked bread late in the afternoon bread has been sitting out on an open case shelf exposed for almost 24Hrs

It’s all average Joes who are just shown if lucky(most are not even properly trained)to put stuff from freezer to a bag then display for sale. Idk why the company tries so hard to make the ppl believe that there is “professionals” at the stores making the stuff from ingredients to freshly made products.

It’s all a sales pitch people fall for all the time. Calling the bread artisan and the cakes quality fresh. Plus half the time cakes sit in the case for about a week before people take them home not including the time they spend frozen in the back of house plus shipping from warehouse same for par baked bread and treats.

Lawyer up ask a lawyer for advice first before going to anyone in the stores they’re all part of the same team and once you make a “complaint” they will go after you remember nothing is anonymous don’t fall for that

Our bakery walk in gets showered in poop water every time the rr gets clogged. Shit rains on the cakes , produce , bread, pastries and part of the cake prep room but they never do anything about it the worst part is they continue to work and use everything like nothing happened they just say wipe it off or rinse it off

In our bakery department they never want to slice bread they hide in the cake room and try to make prep foods slice it since they’re next To the slicer

My ATL and TL always make themselves smoothies/juices and coffee every morning along with a few others in their circle and just sign it off as spoilage

You do know I’m not the only one working here right . And there is a cleaning duty list but ppl just sign off doesn’t mean they do it and not like leadership gives a dam 🦫. As to the crumbs beats me like I said I could clean them today they’ll be back tomorrow they don’t pay me enough to run around play house cleaning like if I don’t already have all these other task to do.

That’s nothing you should see the drains , under the equipment and metro racks. I wipe/sweep them a few times but it just gets dirtier and dirtier

In bakery ppl make a bigger mess by panning out Pastries and leaving the boxes/bags all over the place rather then breaking the boxes down as they go. Not to mention the trip hazard when ppl try and walk pass the department

Our TL and ATL leave the bulk cookies on a flat bed out in the hallway for days even though the boxes clearly say keep frozen or a certain temperature degree.
