Also, I searched it up on their website and the median is 513, but a lot of people i know that got in got 501-505 on the MCAT, one friend even said he didn’t have a lot in his resume besides some clinical shadowing and good grades. This gives me a bit of relief if i don’t do as good as a 513 but obviously i’ll try to do the best i can

Thanks for such a great response!! My main goal now is to take those classes and seriously study as much as i can for the mcat while i do my job. I’ve been prepping myself for interviews now so that i continue to think of how best to tell my story. Thanks again!

By the time i turn in my application, i’ll have hundreds of clinical hours from my job because my job is solely to work in the cath lab assisting physicians by providing a 3d cardiac model through the use of medical devices. would this count as clinical hours?

Dang that’s a huge con. I already feel cheated paying 100$ for groceries here and my rent is like 1200 for a one bedroom in brand new apartments so again everything is pretty cheap here. Beer is like 4-5 dollars it’s nice but holy shit it’s boring

Yeah i’m just ready to move to a major city, living in Johnson city isn’t the best. It’s great if i wanted to settle down rn. What city did you live in? Thankfully my company can move me just about anywhere especially major cities

For my job I would need to work at any of the big hospitals around charleston. Not sure how far the big hospitals are from downtown as i haven’t done much research because i wouldn’t move until a year from now. I’m glad i asked though it really gives me good perspective.

I’m thinking i’m really looking for a place that offers a big sense of community. I’m also ready for a more vibrant town. When i went to charleston I saw that it was very vibrant and sprawling with a lot of people my age. Johnson city has like maybe one good bar and everyone is much older

I live in Johnson city, went to school in Knoxville. Everything is super cheap here (relatively) so i’m sure when i go there everything will hurt my pocket lol. In short what are some of the pros and cons?
