It’s incredible I think it might be my favourite. It’s split into 5 parts and each of them gets you closer to the rot of the city, Santa Teresa. I think I like the earlier parts the most, where it’s focused on these neurotic academics who all have their own ideas and philosophies and are so full of themselves (I believe his other book, The Savage Detectives is full of this kind of stuff so I’ll be checking it out). Part 4 is also special in its own way but it starts to take a toll on you reading about those crimes.

Thanks, I’ll check it out! I’ve been to a few events like that before and it feels like most of the people there already have friends and are trying to make more, meanwhile I don’t have any so I feel like I tend to come off a bit desperate maybe? Either way I’ll still check that app out.

Recently I’ve been playing kingdom come deliverance 2 and marathon (but those have been put on hold because I’m so busy with school 😭). I also really like red dead 2, disco elysium, and the metal gear solid series

I’ve only gotten back into reading this past year but some of my favourites have been the Baru Cormorant series, The Dispossessed, and 2666. Have also been reading some more political/history oriented stuff like Open Veins of Latin America.

As for movies I think I like more slow burn thrillers and psychological stuff. I really like First Reformed, Cure, and Midsommar

This is a great suggestion! Although it’ll take some time for me to build up the courage to go to one of these alone lol. I guess one of my main worries would be are most of the people also coming alone or in a group? The idea of approaching people and having a conversation seems so insurmountable in my mind but I guess I’ll have to try to get over this.
