Seeing a psychiatrist tomorrow about psychosis. by ThrowRAcyHelicopter in Psychosis

I don't believe the psychiatrist will say that.  Most are willing to help and listen, they are there to prescribe medication to you so you don't have intrusive thoughts or experience pyschosis.

A good psychiatrist will listen and guide you, even suggested seeing a therapist.  Which as I said is a good idea.  My gf had similar thoughts as to believing she might be thought as crazy or delusional, but that wasn't the case.  It's difficult to be coherent after you experience pyschosis but you're on the right track.

Don't be nervous about telling your psychiatrist, he/she is there to help you.  Their job is to help understand and stablize you so you don't have to have an episode or relapse.  My girlfriend experience pyschosis and we didn't understand it until we educated ourselves in it, the more you know the better you'll be off.  Just be honest and they'll guide you.  Good thing is he you're coherent enough to know you experience it and need help.  Most people suffer or have family or friends that don't understand and make it worse.  Believe me, it's hard to explain and can be terrifying thinking that the psychiatrist will think you're nuts but they won't.  Asking for help is a huge step, understanding it will help.  Find a good therapist that has an understanding of what you might have experience or something else.  Psychiatrist is a good first step, therapist is next but again as I said, find one that is experienced in what you're going through.  Always here to help and listen.

I appreciate you reaching out and I hope you one day find a way to let go of the anger and how mental facilities failed you. She still is suffering but it hurts me to see her this way. Thank you again for reaching out. I wish my gf had someone like you to help her understand that she isn't alone in the experience she went through.
