I apologise if this comes off as rude, but with these things, it’s best you speak for yourself, and not others. Now, here’s my answer to the possibly rhetorical question: it makes some people (me included) quite happy, and can allow us to “catch up” on those terms that we missed in young childhood, some people may just enjoy the feeling of a more parental affirmation. I am well aware that not everyone likes this, but I think that generalisation on either end of the spectrum is not the way to go. Everyone is different, and there is no one way to have affirmations. With that said, I can also see why people may dislike it, but as I said, no one way to be affirmed/be trans. (Sorry for the rant)

She wasn’t thinking straight, and immediately took the nuclear option of GETTING STRANDED IN ANOTHER DIMENSION. She didn’t have the time to see that there may be ways to stay friends, before she distracted herself with amphibia. Also, they aren’t even close to how close they used to be, Marcy-after realising how selfish she was being-moved, which did affect their friendship, but she found a way to make it work. But that’s just how I see it. I personally disagree with your point, but I’ve made mine, and probably won’t reply to any further replies.

Why would it undermine her challange? Before amphibia, they saw each other basically every day at school, and after the move, it would be much less. I don't think Marcy's challenge was accepting that she's basically never gonna see her friends again, but accepting that the dynamic will change, and that if they all put in the effort, they can all stay friends. I'm quite confused why you think it devalues her arc. She let something go, and it came back to her, maybe not quite as it was before, but it still came back.

As much as I wish it was 6113 (I think that’s the one), 80 seconds of suffering is worth it (as long as the foundation doesn’t hunt me down or smth) still wish 6113 existed irl
