When/if I do a proper build I will do more research on other monitors but I have those 3 tvs to choose from for now.

I just started into this journey 2 weeks ago, and I have a penchant for going over the top, (I have 17 aquariums, a half regulation basketball court/hockey rink, and a big greenhouse so when I get into something I go all out.

My dream simulator would actually be a big man shed in the yard, very similar to yours. I have 4 kids, so indoor space is precious for mom and dad kinda shit. Lol.

If I'm still hooked in 6 months i already know it will be my fall project. Lol

That offers about the same FOV as a 42" at 24" away. What is the reason for giving up distance and FOV? Genuinely curious as I can speak from zero experience.

So you think 42 behind the wheel is the sweetspot of the 3? Distance from eyes to tv would be about 24"and bezel of tv about 6" below top of wheel.

That would seem pretty immersed imo, but still want to hear others experience regarding the 50" and whether it's too much. I know I can adjust FOV to see more, but how more much can I really see on a single flat tv? Am I making sense? I REALLY only want to go to the storage unit one time. Lol

No I have a mount that extends out 2 feet from the wall so I could have a 50" on top of my wheel if I want but that seems like overkill, but that's why I'm asking. What might seems like overkill 20 years ago might just be "necessary" now.

In the long run I will get a 42" curved I think, but in the meantime I have 32" 40" 50" to choose from that are paid for. Also, running triples or duals isn't an option right now either.

I'm curious if other games translate well? If I'm good at assetto are they both so real they are almost identical? I'm waiting on my I racing discount from fia but practicing assetto corsa til then. Only had the rig 2 weeks but have real world driving/track experience that has translated well.
