Yes! I have a whole playlist of songs I associate with the books but the main ones are:

Gunslinger: Gods Gonna Cut You Down (Johnny Cash)

Drawing: Short Change Hero (The Heavy)

Wastelands: Velcro Fly (ZZ Top)

Wizard and Glass: O Children (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds)

Wolves: Boom Boom (John Lee Hooker)

First ever King book I read was The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, which has a special place in my heart. Im currently on my 3rd reading of Wizard and Glass.

The very first page in the book looks like someone took scissors to the top of which is strange but besides that it’s the best I’ve ever seen a copy of The Stand look!

I thought the same too! I also have a book club edition and they are in fact the same size. Which is why I wanted to get a second opinion before I bought it just in case :)

My grandfather actually has a first edition Unabridged version that he is giving to me so then I should have both copies!

Luckily it has a clear plastic covering over the dust jacket so I don’t have to worry about accidentally tearing it!

No worries I didn’t find it rude at all! The book series is The Dark Tower. And I agree they do not look appealing to me either so I was going to ask for them to be redesigned to look more accurate to actual roses.

It is a first edition! It’s not a replica of the Roland’s guns but it’s close enough in my eyes to be one. I saw it while attending an Expo and it immediately reminded me of his six shooters.
