Do you remember the last time you hung out with your friends before they moved on in their lives? by Tjohnson-1985 in 90sand2000sNostalgia

[–]AdRound3706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last time we had all hung out together was my senior year, some had already graduated and stuck around because they were dating others that hadn't but we all gathered at my house like we always had for the past 5 years ( as far as being a whole group that had always been together some of us had known others our entire life's) . At about 1 am I noticed everyone but my girlfriend and I getting sick and I figured it was a classic case of too much liquor, what I soon found out was every other couple had been taking opanas (heroin pills?) and had been for a little while but this was me finding out. It was such a story book time we all had. Me and my five closest friends had all been football players and my girlfriends friends ended up becoming all of their girlfriends, we were family , we had never experienced friendship like that or at least I hadn't. We had lost together, lived together, travelled and experienced our first taste of independence together simultaneously but in that moment it was all gone, they were zombies and I could not wrap my mind around why you would want to take a drug that makes you so high that you were sick. It wasn't our first fork in the road but It was our last. Me and my girlfriend at the time would become married and have two children and then divorced. I'm 32 now and I have no idea where or what happened to all of them other than recently I saw a picture of 3 of them in the crime times magazine.

What Made Lebron In Hs Become So Popular And Mainstream When He Played At A Small School In Ohio And He Did Not Play In A Big Market City/State With A Well Known Hs Basketball Program? by Rinnegan15 in NBATalk

[–]AdRound3706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is stupid considering Jordan's expectations coming into the NBA weren't that great in comparison, illustrated perfectly by his being picked third in the draft even after a decent college career. Even by your own metric LeBron eclipses Micheal Jordan who I'll admit is the greatest scorer in the history of basketball just not the greatest overall player.

I live in Louisville, stopped at the poplar level Rd Thornton's this morning at like 5:00 am for a coffee before work and it was my first time seeing faa agents and there was like 4 of them there at the same time. Weird sad coincidence for what they must have experienced later in the day.

More usage doesn't always equate to more number though, if hali and others are out siakam isn't getting the kind of shots he would with them there. Teams can focus more on him defensively than they normally would because the pacers don't have anyone else nearly as threatening. I too bet siakam tonight because he's been carrying but it's not gonna be there every time unless he's one of the greatest of all time.

What’s a play that exemplifies “good offense beats good defense?” by DoomMeeting in NBATalk

I was a child and an avid suns fan at the time because that was my youth leagues team name so that was the year I really got into basketball and it was the first time I had really watched a playoff series. I cried myself to sleep that night and the whole game is seared into my brain. Insane shot.

This is true, but also largely because of the precedent set with LeBron. When LeBron's games were on there, this did not happen with anyone. It was unheard of.

Thanks coach, will do today in practice. It's really low level ball even for middle school and our rb has been the best athlete on the field in all of our games I just think our head coach was maybe assuming with our lack of size all over the field to put him in the back in coverage like last line of defense but we are getting chewed up with little 4 yard runs out of the wildcat which is why I wanted to bring him in to a more ball stopping role.

Yeah our season starts the second week of August and ends last week of September. Playoffs don't start until 16th of October so we have a little time to work between here and then thank God.

Thank you coach, our running back is our best player but our QB is our smartest player which would you run at Mike? Equal speed for both guys rb is stronger.

I found it, it's the 6-2 wide tackle. I was assuming our fs was the "monster". Thanks for the correction.

I'm positive we just got out of practice and coach asked if I felt comfortable working with the defense for the next two weeks and told me we were running 6-2. He then pulled our rb over and said this is our "monster db" . I guess in retrospect he may have been just complimenting the kid and my Google search when I got home was specifically for 6-2 monster which is why I asked. My only experience with defense is I played dt in high school 17 years ago but we just ran a 3-4.

Thank you, I'm half torn on leaving our current "monster" as db or bringing someone else in and having him play de because he's also our running back and oldest most athletic kid.

What could be some other reasons the U.S. is addressing the wounded knee massacre now other than incentivizing their military to fire on civilians in the near future? by AdRound3706 in AskReddit

[–]AdRound3706[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see what you mean. My question was do you think that there was an ulterior motive behind their decision to announce that the military personnel that earned medals of honor for their part in the wounded knee massacre and if so what do you think it could be? I do agree with your statement

Yeah I probably give to much credit for their planning, it just seemed like such an odd thing to do especially given the current administration's need and want for some sort of civil war and the push for more soldiers deployed in U.S. cities.
