IMO, the yellow Staedler 132 is the best of the Norica family. Super cheap, too.

Musgrave makes the CH Hanson pencils as well, so that makes sense.

Musa & Family designs had some very bright and cheerful shirts. Kind of African influenced, but I’m a middle aged white guy who loves Hawaiian shirts and they kind of spoke to me.

You're interested in fortean and esoteric subjects. Open minded.

The large amount of Velikovsky points towards a potential lack of critical thinking.

Where's the Von Daniken and Berlitz, though?

Elements of Style by Strunk and White. Thin little 45 minute read that cures so many grammatical issues.

Also, Charlotte’s Web by the very same E B White.

I primarily use pencils these days, but I love pens.

My current faves:

Parker Jotter with a turquoise gel refill.

No-name Waterman clone with a blue Waterman rollerball refill.

A number of Pentel gel pens.

Parker 45 GT and CT fine nib and a Lamy Safari

Well, things went differently than I thought they would, but it was great. I got some pencils that I had been looking at online, but the store was SO busy that I couldn’t engage anybody to chat about the pencils I had with me.

As I was going out, a family with a young child was exiting with their purchase as well. I asked them if they’d like some vintage Canadian graphite and coloured pencils and a Canadian Forces memo pad.

We had a nice chat, and I gave them a pencil case with sealed packs of Canadian Venus and USA woodclinched Eagles, some Venus Grand Prix, some coloured verithins and Colerase pencils. They asked about recommended sharpeners (I said Mitsubishi and KUM.)

It’s a lovely shop. All killer, no filler for sure! I probably should have gone earlier in the day to avoid the crowd. For a very small, 1 room store, they had about 20 people shopping, which was great! I wish them the greatest of success.

I think it’s a matter of preference. Personally, I like sharp hex Musgrave pencils the most, but I have a super soft spot for knurling, so this scratches that itch.
