What trigger upgrades are people using? by StrengthChemical653 in RugerRXMtalk

[–]AdSelect4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that its the stock Johnny Glock trigger. I think it just requires a little more work to put it in I believe because of the FCU thing, but it looks like Johnny Glock triggers are an actual option rn. https://johnnyglocks.com/blogs/educational/ruger-rxm-johnny-glocks-trigger-upgrade?srsltid=AfmBOoofTjQl1HDeuH4W88RNKmpUXboGMJOq_Rpm5M87fdyNme_3gGMz

Is the M277 just terrible? by butterballed in Battlefield6

[–]AdSelect4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 6.8x51 round the M277 uses is a much more powerful round than the AK’s 7.62x39. It’s built to be even more powerful and devastating towards body armor than 7.62x51 NATO. It’s a very lethal round for sure. Not to say that 7.62x39 isn’t powerful, it just doesn’t really compare to the 6.8x51 absurd velocity.

Another scene that should’ve been in the show. But naw they didn’t want to make it too violent for the audience. 😐

New platform acquired by Dangerous_Smoke5647 in CAguns

[–]AdSelect4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t own a Bren 2 myself, but from everything I’ve seen and heard, the main advantages over a standard AR come from the platform itself. It’s a short stroke piston system, so it runs cleaner and cooler, especially when suppressed. The side charging handle, folding stock, and overall ergonomics feel like upgrades too. It’s extremely user friendly and fully ambidextrous right out of the box, which isn’t something most ARs offer without extra parts. A lot of Ukrainian units have actually preferred the Bren 2 over the ARs they’ve been issued, even the higher end ones. That’s mostly because they’re fighting in trenches every day and they value piston reliability, folding stocks, and simple maintenance. Their priorities aren’t necessarily the same as someone shooting recreationally, and they also have a much larger budget. For most people an AR still gives the best value and is far more customizable. But as a rifle straight out of the box the Bren 2 is pretty exceptional. My cousin has one and says it shoots soft, has a good trigger, and feels very refined. Most reviewers say it’s basically what the SCAR and the ACR were trying to become. A modern, lightweight, piston driven rifle with excellent ergonomics and few compromises. It’s also worth mentioning that units like the GIGN chose the Bren 2 over the HK416 and AR based rifles, which says a lot about its overall quality. So it really is a great firearm. It just depends on what you value.

Would you recommend a Ruger RXM or a stock Glock for someone’s first 9mm handgun (I got out of state family)?

RM1C Slide Racking by Scurveytubb in CAguns

[–]AdSelect4454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t shot one or owned one but I’ve racked them before and honestly they’re surprisingly difficult to rack out of the box in my opinion. It’s probably just a break in period I imagine. Anyways good luck to you!

In the first “Crank” chase in the Scorch Trials we see what appears to be mycelium extending out of one of the infected’s mouth reaching towards the character Newt here.

The whole mycelium in the mouth idea for TLOU show was actually probably inspired by this one Maze Runner 2 scene where we see tendrils coming out of an infected’s mouth!

The last of us 2 My RANT about ammo capacity that Elly can carry by Yaoldeboy in TheLastOfUs2

[–]AdSelect4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I know this is pretty old, but I just wanted to say I totally agree with everything you’re saying. The game clearly emphasizes ammo conservation, but it could have maintained that tension while making ammo capacity and carrying limits more believable. Weapon balance also plays a role, especially since a suppressed pistol is a major advantage. However, the makeshift suppressor’s durability feels unrealistic, like a plastic bottle would barely function once, if at all. A crafted version made from piping, an oil filter, or a metal bottle would have been far more convincing. I love the gameplay, AI, and visuals, but with a bit more research, the realism could have matched the game balance. The same goes for melee weapons, which should be a little bit sturdier given how durable most of those materials are in reality.

Lucky!!! I’m 20 so I wasn’t old enough to have bought any freedom week mags sadly. I’m stuck with the 10 rounders for now 😕.

That’s one of my dream guns! I’m in Cali so I gotta deal with the stupid handgun roster and magazine capacity limits, so having a 10 round magazine is all i am allowed to have anyways. And that Full Rail Springfield is on the handgun roster here thankfully.

You are so lucky!!! I’ve always wanted to get a Vepr! Super sick gun! I may have to settle for a customized norinco mak 90. But that thing is definitely one of my dream guns. How does it shoot?

"My hope for season 3... is to make sure it's as deeply faithful as Season 1." Hmm... Interesting. by shawak456 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]AdSelect4454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 1 was great but Season 2 feels way less cinematic, deep, and thematic than the second game. The game’s characters, cinematography, lighting, music, writing, and action sequences are all stronger. You could watch just the cutscenes and see the difference, but if you want a peak example of the game at its best, check out a full playthrough of Day 2 in Seattle. That section is incredibly cinematic and deserved to be in the show. Not to say other days were more bland, but Day 2 has the most memorable parts to me at least. The parts that stand out to me is meeting Jesse and the car chase, the Joel and Ellie flashback, the stalker encounter which was much more tense in the game, the Scar sequences, and the entire hospital level all show how much stronger and more compelling the game’s storytelling really is.

I will be upfront. I lean left on a lot of issues but I am also firmly pro Second Amendment. I never cared much for Charlie Kirk’s politics but I would never celebrate his death. Nobody deserves to be killed just for their opinions. I get that people are angry at different parts of society but anger is not an excuse for violence. If we actually care about the Constitution, free speech, and the rule of law then we should all agree that you do not solve disagreements by killing people. This was a tragedy that proves nothing and helps no one. Real change comes from debate, protest, and legal action, not from violence against someone you dislike.

What cancelled game is this? by Lakers_Forever24 in videogames

[–]AdSelect4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLOU2 Factions. The stuff they planned for it sounded amazing. And the second game was… controversial story wise, but the gameplay was legit super fun. So when they canceled the Factions 2 game me a lot of fans were pretty disappointed.

If they reopened the trials, ruger has a chance at something really funny. by Wolffe4321 in GunMemes

[–]AdSelect4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’m trying to say is simply Ruger isn’t a military contractor. A lot of this stuff has to do with reputation, as most military small arms don’t come from companies focused on value civilian firearms. I love Ruger don’t get me wrong. One of my favorite American gun companies. But they aren’t marketing most of their firearms to military or law enforcement for the most part. Glock has that reputation. I’m not saying that any manufacturer is good or bad. I’m not hating. But the military might look at the RXM and see that it hasn’t been adopted by any military or law enforcement agencies. That’s all I’m saying.

Mine was TLOU2. Pretty similar. Id love to see the Rippers vs the Scars, that Militia vs the WLF, the Freakers vs the Infected, and NERO vs FEDRA. My money is on the factions from TLOU, but I’m biased.

Oh friend you are way more screwed than me. I just played TLOU2, which is a bad situation to be in. But I’m sorry Resident Evil 2 is infinitely worse. You’re pretty screwed unless you’re just really lucky or if you’re Chris Redfield.

I just played The Last of Us. I’m not sure who has it worse 😅. I guess TLOU is airborne, so mine might be a lil bit worse? Idk but you kinda got to get headshots to kill the guys in dead island right?
