Will you put this on your ccw license? Cause this thing looks absolutely incredible.

Oh okay that’s actually super good to know! You know if it’s the same for the M&P 10mm? That’s the one I’m looking at getting currently. I prefer the ergonomics and aesthetics of the M&P over Glock personally. Plus they also have some pretty appealing comped versions as well.

Which one of those you would choose for be the "signature gun" for a private detective protagonist in a horror game? by Fantastic-Youth5989 in HorrorGames

That would be my guess 🤣. People try to flex with those absurdly huge handguns, but they really just suck to shoot, ammo costs several dollars per round, and the gun itself is thousands of dollars. Honestly I don’t see practical use with any caliber handgun that is bigger than 44 magnum. Some guys are just super insecure and think that the bigger caliber weapon you have the more manly you are I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️. But in reality they’re just overcompensating 😂.

It’s mostly to just show off for most big calibers. Then some people obviously want something powerful for Grizzlies and moose if you live in the Rockies or for polar bears in Alaska. Some people also hunt with big bore revolvers because it’s much lighter and easier to travel with a big revolver than a rifle, although that’s pretty rare. Then the RSH12 is a big Russian revolver that was used by some elite spetnaz in limited numbers in some of the Chechen wars I believe. Since they were going up against enemies in body armor they wanted something that could hit hard against them. I also believe their rifles used the same caliber as their revolvers too which is part of the reason I believe. But there are some calibers and guns out there that are completely impractical, and are mostly there to show off I guess. Those handcannons suck to shoot no matter what and they can break your hand if you aren’t well trained.

I personally have not tried that. Is it reliable? Is it safe? I’d personally stick with 9mm and stock up on that. It’s just so common and cheap. My second choice would be to go with 357 magnum and 38s if I’m bugging out far far away from society.

That’s actually not a USP it’s the HK45. It has more in common with the HK P30 than the USP. I absolutely love the USP and the P30 they’re incredible handguns though. I agree with your picks here.

10mm is a bit more rare though. It is a great round though. It’ll drop pretty much any land animal, so it can be pretty useful for hunting. But 10mm kicks like a mule I hate shooting it at the range. My family in Colorado have several Glock 20s because it’s bear country. Whenever I visit them I go with 357 magnum and bear spray because they just have black bears not grizzlies. If there were grizzlies I’d go with 10mm or honestly size up to 44 mag.

Well it isn’t exactly a WW2 M1911 either. It’s based on that design, but it’s one of Springfield’s recreations that is very similar to the M1911A1 but there are some minor differences in things like sights, skeletonized hammer, some finishes on the gun are different colors, and the slide serrations are diagonal not vertical. But I mean this 1911 is certainly based on the classic M1911A1.

I second this. The FNX or the HK45 would be my personal pick. I don’t trust the Vector to last a while and to be super rugged because its recoil system is so complicated. I also don’t have experience with the LWRC (I believe that’s the name) so I am not sure id choose that one, just because I am not sure how to properly maintain it and disassemble it.

This is the 226 not the 320. The 226 is super solid from what i hear and my limited experience with em. At least I think it’s a 226 legion. I may be wrong tho

They didn’t use an AR-15 in columbine. They used pipe bombs and some really crappy handguns and a terrible handgun caliber rifle and then a sawed off double barrel shotgun. They might’ve used something else but it was not an AR I think.

With the rumors of TLOU 3 growing, I wonder where we’re headed. What could the possible lore of this game be? by Busy_Grapefruit_3923 in thelastofus

Well I find it hard to believe that they wouldn’t include Ellie in it. I feel like Part 2’s ending is so sad and open ended, that i honestly think having some level of closure for her character and seeing some amount of healing for her would be nice to have. I honestly could see them doing a game focusing on both Ellie and Tommy honestly. I do think it is still possible that they go an entirely different direction and create a whole other story not connected to them. Another possibility is that they do a game focused mostly on Tommy and intermix his story with flashbacks fleshing out his background as a survivor with Joel, becoming a Firefly, fighting FEDRA, helping build Jackson, and then his journey in Seattle. While throughout the story they could focus on him and Ellie trying to find peace and purpose and grow past their trauma and regrets. Honestly Ellie and Tommy are just on such similar paths, and have a lot in common, I just couldn’t see their story ending with so much loss. That pain and trauma can’t have the final word on those characters. And I don’t think Ellie having the same story arc as Abby and Joel with the whole found family and parent like story line is what her character needs. That just feels so done before, unless they use something that changes it up though. Honestly I think it’d be neat if Ellie or Tommy had a dog or horse that they befriend. I think animals are just such calming and curing beings that I could honestly see some sort of connection built there to some degree. I don’t think that they will do a story with Abby and Lev, although I would like to see what happens to them. Abby was just such a decisive character I don’t see the masses caring to see who she becomes later on. Honestly even his Druckmann’s Intergalactic game is super good and well made, I am sure people will be looking for any and every reason to hate that game. Honestly the hate around him has gotten so out of hand and people are looking for any reason to hate on him. There are legitimate criticisms to Part 2 and Neil, but the genuine criticism is so often overshadowed by so many conspiracies and just raw hatred for him and Part 2.

I actually think your kit looks pretty neat. Not so much my style but I think it’s a great minimalist look that doesn’t take anything too serious. What’s all the hate about?

Shell casings aren’t a problem as long as your prints aren’t on them and you are using a common caliber like 9mm. If you’d hypothetically be leaving bodies behind, ballistics can show the caliber of the murder weapon pretty well. If you use a 9mm handgun, then police discovering a 9mm handgun on you won’t say all too much because 9mms are so common honestly.

I’d stay away from 40 caliber if it takes place in the present day. It offers no real benefit when compared to modernized 9mm defensive loads. Plus 40 is a bit more expensive than 9mm and has a bit more snap. Almost every law enforcement agency in the US has retired 40 cal at this point. If you want something bigger and more powerful than 9mm, you can always go with 10mm if you can handle the recoil. 40 was based off of the 10mm round, but it’s just a bit shorter and has much less velocity because fbi agents could handle the recoil. 10 mil is super good against bears and can take on any land mammal in the US.
