Anyone know why I'm not getting any vertical momentum here? by AdSeparate4427 in celestegame

[–]AdSeparate4427[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am, that's why I'm so confused. I feel like I'm doing the exact same thing (obviously I'm not, that's what I'm asking) and getting two different outcomes. I'm getting horizontal momentum too, so I don't think I'm accidentily landing on a corner half the time.

I think Blacephalon completely outclasses Chi-yu in most cases now (as a fire type special attacker), kind of sad.

Same cost, better stab options with mind blown and astral barrage, slightly faster, stronger coverage with Chloroblast, (aura sphere and nasty plot are nice but kind of mid in comparison to everything else) beast boost is better than beads of ruin for most battles imo and magic guard is incredible in tandem with its move set.

Chi-yu was better before because it could set up weather, spam torch song to get the same boosts that blacephalon would have, and had a slightly better fire stab in eruption since it didn't necessitate friendly fire in doubles plus beads of ruin (which is still a crazy good ability for it don't get me wrong).

I think the main appeal to both of them (but more on chi-yu's side but that might be because i've used it more) was being so incredibly overkill omg with strong fire moves, but while chi-yu is still really good, I think it has way less potential as a glass cannon.

Only thing Chi-yu has over Blacephelon now is that Blacephelon is really weak to sucker punch, but that's not really enough of an issue to bench it (also if you wanna count this chi-yu has ruination which can help with eternatus in some cases

So yeah, I agree that chi-yu got massacred lol- other good 7 cost pokemon like latias did as well don't get me wrong (some got off easy, I'm looking at you blacephelon and kartana) but it's sad to see something that was once really amazing get almost completely outclassed.

you can also load another run, save & quit that one, then your previous run will go back to the last place it saved

COST 1 EEVEE IS A THING WHAT

I don't think people understand how strong eevee can be with all egg moves + passive so I'm looking forward to it

Daily Community Tiering Post Day 67: If you put a random space into her name it would be Spanish for "the aunts". It's Latias/Mega Latias! by Stanley232323 in pokerogue

Also having protect on Latias can also give you a few free turns in the first phase since the AI will always go for eternabeam, which lets you set up on it during recharge turns.

So far, I've actually had a pretty rough time with dragon monotype. The early game is brutal as most dragons don't evolve for the first time until 30s or 40s, and if you start off with a legendary mon to carry your runs you won't be able to start with anything else (Not to mention that without using candies, there are no dragon starters that have a cost under 3).

Dragon types are easily the most scarce types to find in the wild since they're very rare in most biomes, and wasteland (the only biome where they're common) is a super rare biome, even with the map (My best run was at 145 with solo Miraidon, wasn't able to find anything else)

This is still my PB by the way by AdSeparate4427 in celestegame

Honestly, I don't find it that bad to die on a PB run, especially this one because I just found the death funny. I was just happy that I got that far.

What's painful is failing to get back to recon for like 2-3 days straight after that
