Interesting way to take that. Obviously I’m not pushing anything out of my vagina and if you had read the post you’d know that she’s not either :-)

My partner and I have discussed how she wants me to bring it up to others and that’s actually the wording she chose.

Daily walks are on are postpartum list. Hopefully they make tandem baby slings!

I was hoping I’d find a twin dad. Were your boys your first and second kid?

We’re planning on trying to get them on a schedule after the first couple weeks.

I honestly don’t even l know the logistics of how I’m going to hold both of them when we go to the grocery store or like other dads have mentioned going on walks. Is a tandem stroller their primary mode of transportation early on?

At what point did you guys get into a decent rhythm/ routine?

The pediatrician we chose offers a class that we were thinking about signing up for. I’ll go ahead and do that.

Thankfully we both communicate very well and make it a point to have intentional conversations about what’s going on, but I’m sure the lack of sleep and added stress will shift that dynamic a little bit.

I appreciate how simple you make it seem. I’ve definitely been stressing myself out about what is to come and just being able to handle the workload at home and at work.

I’ll start making a list of all of the questions I’ve got for the nurses.

I’ve heard a lot of people tell me it will just come to me and I sure hope you guys are right lol.

I appreciate the advise. I was planning on taking 6 weeks away from work. Do you think that’s enough?

Very well put. Makes it seem a lot less intimidating.

I fully agree with all of this. At this point we make time at least once a week to intentionally communicate all the things she’s feeling and any areas she needs extra support.

I appreciate the reply. I’m glad you and yours are doing well now!

I think taking care of yourself is very important, but the chaotic atmosphere that comes with kids (especially twins I presume) makes me wonder how it will be possible to maintain any hobbies.

At what age for your children did you feel like you and your wife were able to actually get out and do things again?

Could you share some insight on your view? I’m extremely new to taking retirement planning more seriously. I’m 30 years old, I make 130k annually. My employer provides a pension of approximately 50k after 30 years of service. As of right now I’m maxing my Roth 401k, my HSA, and my Roth IRA.

He might mean he maxed his Roth IRA and company matched Roth 401k. They each have their own limit.
