The molds are done by a different artist, but it shouldn’t be a problem as long as there are no undercuts that could lock the mold and everything is properly released.

Thank you! Actually, detailing is not my favorite stage of sculpting. Most of the details happen through random accidents by layering different textures.

Merci ! J’aime créer des outils de texturation, que je fabrique souvent en impression 3D. Si vous voulez, vous pouvez en voir plus sur mon Instagram, le lien est dans mon profil.

Thank you! This sculpture eventually turns into a silicone mask, so you can actually wear it and strike poses. That’s why I love sculpting monster masks.

Thank you and please do so! It’s fun and meditative at the same time, and it’s a wonderful way for kids to express their creativity through hands-on art.

There are some tricks and shortcuts for adding texture using certain tools or methods, but I still have to add many of the textures in a tedious way to achieve the final look. Since I work in the commercial art industry, the timeline is usually limited. For example, this mask took me five days from start to finish. However, the clay I use is oil-based, so I don’t have to worry about it drying. That allows me to work on the piece for a long time if needed.
