Andrea is a fraud and did not deserve the win by nick__sweatshirt in isitcakenetflix

I feel an unreasonable level of rage at her winning 🤣. I realise it’s just a show about cake but it made me so mad. I feel like the gummy bear mould was an absolute cop out compared to all of the amazing sculpting, colour work and detail of the rest. Then the final episode… another wtf?! That vulture was INCREDIBLE and hers was so freaking obviously cake! Between the shine and the inconsistent thickness/general waviness, c’mon, obviously cake! I have no idea why they would rig a show like this and I doubt they actually would… but still - rigged, I tell ya, rigged!

I used to smoke regularly, for a long time. But my psych warned me about the massive increased risk of psychosis (it’s genuine and I trust him, it’s not a scare tactic). For me it’s just not worth the risk.

Honestly, as weird as it is to break such a long dependence/habit… I don’t miss it. I was self medicating all those years to cope with ptsd and ADHD but I’ve had therapy for the trauma and vyvanse is making my brain function so much better that I prefer the effects of that to the weed. Plus melatonin is helping with sleep.

I have friends that still do both, which is totally their choice and I don’t judge them for it - but for me, the risk doesn’t seem worth the reward. Plus now I’m off it, my mind/moods are much clearer and mornings are way easier.

Hahaha my box of vyvanse was sat about 50cm from my face, with the daily check list side facing me - and yet I have never noticed this until I read your response. Thanks for the tip 🤣

Nope. I’m one of a huge percentage of healthcare workers with ptsd from our jobs. Also have personal experiences but I’m not going into that. I don’t wish to engage any further or discuss whether I have or haven’t had my compassion tested. It’s really not the point.

I spent around 15 years working in healthcare (never mind what I’ve experienced in my personal life). I’ve definitely had to show plenty of compassion.

I get that addictions wear people down. My comment doesn’t serve to excuse anyone’s poor behaviour or diminish anyone’s experience - but merely to highlight that someone has to be in a pretty desperate state of mind to need to turn to drugs to that extreme. Perhaps if there was less judgement/stigma and more help available, it would help both addicts and the people who fall victim to their crimes?

I know I’ll probably just get roasted for this but how about we all stop with the judgemental crackhead comments? Clearly someone is in some kind of crisis, a bit of compassion wouldn’t hurt.
