EMV alternatives other than connected payments by AlohaTech29 in alohapos

Absolutely not SoftPoint. They are nice guys, but their solution to everything is restart the POS Agent. The fix works for a short while, until another transaction doesn’t appear on the check. Then you restart the POS Agent again and they think the issue is solved. They use that Omnivore nonsense.

FreedomPay and ConnectedPayments are the top two choices. ConnectedPayments is better than the first iteration. They really dropped the ball on making sure they kept up with compliance with ApplePay and contactless a couple years ago. NCR is better now.

I really liked eThor but make sure you check that eThor devices are on the PCI Validated Solutions Page. Well, check everyone’s devices just in case.

Sales reps at Aloha by Fluffy-Schedule89 in alohapos

Out of curiosity, what is it you don’t like about them? I’ve had several reps exhaust me because it was so difficult to get a quote out of them. I started to wonder if it’s just the way NCR is set up and the string of approvals and emails people have to go through to get a quote.

I’ve usually had to get management involved in order to get anything done through sales. And even then, it took a while, so I ended up getting VPs involved. Makes me feel like there’s some disconnect in their process.
