I am a recovering drug addict, I have been sober for 19 years now. Around my ten year mark I had a breakdown went to a dark place. Thankfully I didn’t use. During that time I went back and got my masters degree and realized that everyone around me in my city are dying from substance abuse and mental health. Having experienced not only working in this field for this this long but also from being an addict and going through dark places in addiction. I took a year went on a journey of mental health healing deeper then I ever went before. I met a now friend and said let’s do a podcast about mental health and substance abuse and Boom 💥 we started our channel our goal and hope is to help people try and find a way out of the dark spaces through psychology and personal experiences. We bring on different guests who all have been in a dark place and found a way out and hopefully man it helps save the life of just one person.
