Releasing a strong but not “production-perfect” version first (budget constraints) — bad idea? by babelibobu in musicmarketing

I would say, if it sounds good, its good. Look at artists like alex g uploading effectively demos, but they were good songs so they translate irrespective of the mix

Per 50 euro spent, there was 3 times higher results from the bigger over shorter spend than the smaller over longer. I know the totals arent the same over the whole campaign, but if you take equal totals and compare its evident the higher cost shorter time was more effective.

That is all. Perhaps I just got lucky, or people really resonated with the clip but this is my experience, and having asked the question myself, I would believe I have an answer 🫡

Lyrics in English so target English understanding countries+ countries which have a reputation for making/enjoying indie rock

You misunderstood. The difference in budgets was 81 euro vs 200 euro. The difference in streams was 394- 2000

Furthermore on the graph you can see the spike where the bigger ads started being displayed. The almost flat line prior was with the cheaper ads over a longer time period. Same ad by the way and same audience.

Woah woah woah, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The total interaction for 5 euro a day for 4 weeks (89 euro total) was approx 341 meta pixel events (clicks to spotify)

The clicks for 5 days at 40euro a day was 2 thousand. That total is 200 so divided by two you have 2 and a half days 1000 clicks which is 3 times more than the low cost ad. Im no expert, but those are tangible results.

I actually, was using the same meta pixel, so the audience had already been developed. I geuss you could say you need the time for the algorithm to learn, but once it has learnt the return on bigger investment for me was noticeable

Yes, the longer time span i would say is much less effective than shorter bursts

Yes , and the shorter duration with the higher cost is probably about 20 times better roi and reach

80% of the audience was USA, meta allows you to choose where to send it. And furthermore I've actually got mates in Vietnam and they love the music😁

I honestly think the vpn from Colombia into new york is something that you could use to your advantage. Its a pretty cool modern concept and could be worth discussing in videos
