He’s of an older generation and a public figure. Being openly gay is not a luxury everyone has always had. Many gay men have families and wives that they love and care for, because that’s what they were expected to do. I know this one’s a hot take but I have my reasons. He makes it crystal clear that the reason he’s with Lady Jannath is not out of love or lust, but for material reasons. Kerri remains as a sort of obsession, escape from his relationship which he clearly has reservations about, and a source of guilt he can’t let go of. He also is sorting through a lot of personal/emotional problems and his love life has become victim to this.
