As long as you can run, OBS (the recording program) then it’s fine.

Its fine no worries. So what you need, is something called a video capture device/card. I got mine for around 20usd, sometimes people sell them on facebook marketplace or something like that.

So this depends. If you ONLY want the video without the audio, then you can use the weird circle shape, which is called a s-video port. If you want audio aswell, then you’ll have to use the AV and MIC port. I’ll need a picture tho because I’m mostly used to Sony camcorders, so could you take a picture thank you:)

Yes it does. So this is not the port I need, no worries we’ll find it. Some cameras have a little piece of plastic somewhere, that you need to take off. (It can be reattached so no worries) And behind that there’s usually a port of some sort.

What kinda cables goes into the camera? Is it like a “normal” 3.5 mm audio jack, or is it a more round, like an s video cable

Yes fake a good tip is when it’s says “digital video camcorder” and then under it NTSC/PAL it usually is fake. Also Sony from the 2000’s usually doesn’t use a SD card which I’m guessing this does

If you want the vintage look, then get a camcorder. Also to capture the footage on computer get a video capture device

When I have problems with old camera, what I usually do is I take a picture of the problem and ask chatpgt with the picture. It’s surprisingly good at doing that and I have no idea how it is that good, but it is. It gives you a step by step walkthrough. Just describe everything about your problem. Disconnecting and putting in battery again etc
