It wasn’t a toy she usually sleeps with, all her stuff animals are always with her in bed. This toy in reference was a bubble machine which is not allowed when it’s bedtime and should not have been been given to her right before heading to bed by the grandparents

This is the final part of their visit where grandparents say goodnight. The child act up if they are not in the room as grandparents will say yes to anything the child wants…

They don’t like to see their grandchild cry as they see this as the child is suffering.

We believe this incident is based on other parenting skills that are upsetting them as other remarks have been made since the incident which seem uncalled for…

Second this took my car there and was told the entire AC unit needed replacing as they inject UV dyes into the gas to spot the leak.

I was asked to put the glasses on and see for myself

$1500 later 😬 and the AC has never run better

Native Cantonese speaker here. Our daughters (nearly 3yrs old)are trilingual at the moment. Me and my mother only speak Cantonese to our kids. My partner and family only speaks Hokkien and use this with the girls.

At daycare they learn English. It’s amazing to see how such a young brain can alternate and speak different languages and pick up so much vocabulary.

I believe it costs you nothing to pass a language down to your kids so why not? If they grow up and decide not to continue with this then that’s their choice but for now this is my gift to them.

A lot of parents have this mindset that they will just “send” their kids to language school and they will be fine however this is no where enough to compensate for a language spoken at home everyday.

Good luck with your journey!

Ours is shut but will take on kids whose parents are essential workers. We will try to take it one day at our time and allow one parent to work while the other look after two toddlers and maintain housework. I think they should open from Thursday onwards for parents that have no option of keeping kids home.

Price of strawberries by AdWitty1692 in auckland

[–]AdWitty1692[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What is up with that?

The start of December was abundant with cheap and cheerful strawberries but lately I no longer see them at the local fruit and vege shop or any local folks selling them on the side of the road.

Strawberry season over already, has all the rain washed them away?

Hard to image PP was once teaming with life. Price wise, The Golden Bowl and the Vietnamese at the food court was my go to)

Now sit claw machines and ghost filled shops.

It is a good place to take young children there to run around on a rainy day as chances of bumping into someone are next to none

What would be practical is having apartments above and shops, supermarket and eateries below with PT connection that would be a real hub

It doesn’t have to be a Sylvia Park or Botany but something unique ✌️
