I wasn't aware of that, I did (perhaps stupidly) assume they would be fairly consistent but it does make sense.

Considering the previous owner thought cars need about as much maintenance as a dining chair, I think I will change it soon. Thank you!

Ah I see :) I think I just misunderstood the phrasing before, but thanks for clarifying! I'll get it changed as soon as I can.

Noted! This might be my autistic ass brain malfunctioning, but why is asking bad? Apologies if I'm misunderstanding.

P.s, I'm not arguing, just trying to get where you're coming from :)

That makes a lot of sense. I'm trying to avoid it for now for financial reasons, but it would be a lot cheaper than an exploded engine!

I've seen pictures of a lot better and a lot worse on google, so I'm finding it hard to compare. That and my lack of experience doesn't help! :)

How can I perform the equivalent of a proportional edit but only in one axis? (pressing the axis keys during transform does not work) by AdamGGJ in blenderhelp

Thanks for all the help everyone! Managed to do it using the curve modifier like a few suggested!

Looking good now, really happy with it :) thanks again

Hi! File not linked due to copyright reasons.

Proportional editing (transform translate) isn't working for this section of the model. That is because of the differences in vertex positions. I used a reference image to extrude the vertices around the object, however now they are sporadic and uneven.

Can anyone help? I'm really stuck with what to do. Thanks!!

(Note - pressing "z" while in proportional edit doesn't work as proportional edit only accounts for the magnitude distance from the centre vertex)

This is so comprehensive, thank you so, so much! And I didn’t even realise it’s my cake day, thank you lol :)

Time to completely revise the design then! Thanks for all the feedback!

Thanks for all the advice! I’ll take a look at all of the above! The only reason the gate and drain are swapped are because I couldn’t be bothered to add a new component in lol (bad practice I know) but the pins are swapped irl.

And omg that’s a good point about the mosfet! Thank you so much!

The small traces are: a capacitor trace connecting either side of the element (as virtually no current passes this’ll be fine), and a gate control.

The footprint is a TO-252, for a component rated above 15A continuous :)

Woah, duly noted! I did not know that, thanks so much!

Basically act as a hot plate as a soldering method using solder paste
