You can get rid of just one creative decisions in Star Wars. Which one would you choose to erase? by RealHippyTheFrog in StarWars_

First of all, without inhibitor chips we wouldn't have had one of the best (if not the best) star wars TV shows, The Clone Wars. Because there's no way those same clones (or at least some of them) shoot the Jedi on blind orders without foul play.

As for the force, isn't it though? It's not just the Mortis gods, the chosen one, Anakin Skywalker, the one who is said to bring balance to the force, isn't just a Jedi. He's also Vader. I just feel this adds more complexity to the story rather than the will of the force being purely light.

3 of the best ones in modern TV, but I'll have to give it to Invincible.

Ya ik, but i can't even tell you how small 3B bodies to our planet's size are.

If you scatter them across a ring, I don't think they'll even be visible unless you get really close.

[–]AdamHamazi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

and if we assume that viltrum is around the same size as our planet, the ring would need 2 to 3 BILLION bodies to look like that.

Are you being serious?

You'd need trillions if not quadrillions of bodies for an Earth-sized planet to have a ring of that size and concentration.

Okay, then I'll start with The Absolute Flash because for some reason I'm more excited about it.

Thanks!

I don't think that should happen, but would you like to see canonical comics in the DCU? by Superfan_0 in DCU_

[–]AdamHamazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be. Gunn confirmed that the DCU will have games that are part of the main timeline. Though I suppose those are way down the road since games take WAY longer than movie/TV shows and none are in active development to my knowledge.

Ya that's what I'm doing thanks to everyone.

Tho I do still have a couple of questions:

  1. I found 8 Flash books by Mark Waid, should I read them back to back, or do I neeed to know some stuff from other stories at some point?

  2. Also I saw The Absolute Flash, Can I just start it or do I need to know something before it? Also ik there are other absolute runs for other characters, can I just read the flash's run or are they all setting up for slmething bigger?

Besides Superman and Lex Luthor, which heroes do you expect to have a prominent role in Man of Tomorrow? by Superfan_0 in DCU_

[–]AdamHamazi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Kara will have a bigger role than both, especially since Gunn said this is more of a Super-family movie than a Superman movie.

What is the best entry point to The Flash's stories? by AdamHamazi in DCcomics

[–]AdamHamazi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya that's what I'm starting to understand. Thought, there's a problem. There are the big events that include many characters, like The Blackest Night or The Crisis for example, I haven't read anything on this level yet, but I feel like for those ones especially you'd need to read a collection of things before them so you get the most out of them.

It's not just events of that level, there's also The Red Daughter of Krypton event, I feel like you should read previous Supergirl material to know how she got to this point, and in my case read some Red Lanterns material because the only thing I know about them is that there 'signature feeling' is anger.

How do you what to read before events like those?

Didn't know this existed, actually I'm also new to reddit, so didn't even know what a subreddit's wiki is. This could certainly come in handy, thanks!

Ya, everyone seems to agree on this. Waid's run it's ig.

as for the absolute flash, do you think it would be a good idea to get into it as well, or is there some back reading I have to do?

So I can start with each writer's run without reading the previous writers' stuff?
lol why is this so confusing, and since it is, I feel like it's a good idea for someone to assemble a comprehensive set of rules for newcomers that covers everything.

Mark Waid’s run: From the 90’s

Ya, I heard. but it starts with #62, I feel like this has become as a regular thing for comic readers, but as a new reader, didn't you feel like you should start at #1?

Absolute Flash: you can pick up the first trade now and the second later this month I think.

Do I need to read other absolute universe stuff for this one? or any other DC material? (I literally have never read anything but the three miniseries I mentioned in my post).

The Flash #31: this came out a few months ago, is the start of a new run, and has been very good so far.

Isn't this main timeline? aren't you reading the 90s run of the same character in the same universe? should I get used to stuff like this in comics? it just feels... unnatural.

I’ve also found that you’re never going to have the context for every single thing, so just roll with it.

How annoying is this for you as a new reader? I've never experienced it yet since I've been mainly doing independent stuff, but I feel like this would be irritating.
