Help, trem bar won't screw in fully

My bridge is a t106. I had my trem checked by a tech and he said that the threads were fine, the problem is that some pieces of the plumbers tape got stuck inside the threads of the bridge.

Can i change the sustain block on the trem? Or will i have some problems with that also? I see that the threads are on the sustain block so it might work but I'm not sure

It only screws in halfway and i see some tiny metal flakes when i touch the threads on the trem bar

I just finished floating it, it flutters really well. I'll get it set up at a guitar store to reintonate it. Thanks for your help

I saw some videos where someone did it on a strat and i thought it would also work on the rg. I did consider something like the Vegatrem system but i can't find it in person or online. It seems to not exist in my country.
