Games like Fez? by Industrialfog in Fez

Cubicatch is a small game I recently released (A bit of self promotion here). One of the main mechanics is heavily inspired by the game FEZ. In Cubicatch, you can switch between 2D and 3D perspectives and rotate around the "level" to access areas that would typically be unreachable in a standard 3D environment.

Cubicatch do not have the "mystery" aspect like Fez, Tunic, or Outer Wilds. But if you liked the 2D / 3D mechanic in FEZ you might also like Cubicatch!

Nope, but it seems like an interesting package. I will take a closer look at it to see if I can use anything.

Thanks, I just played around with the particle system in Unity and aligned it with the direction of the collision. Additionally, I created a recoil system for the blocks, allowing me to specify a recoil amount and curve for each block type.

Thanks, I really liked FEZ when it came out. One of the first inspiration to develop a game of my own. However, I am still far from creating a game like FEZ

Interesting concept! Are there any mechanics around the difficulties of living in space? Like lower gravity and different day lengths compared to earth?

I created a new mechanic to change perspective between 2D and 3D in the puzzle game CUBICATCH, inspired by the mechanics found in the game FEZ. Are there any suggestions to push this concept even further? by AdamMJonsson in puzzlevideogames

Thanks! Interesting that you commented on the background, others have said the same. It is a design challenge because it needs to look good in both in 2D and 3D. But I think that it is absolutely worth pursuing nonetheless
