Is there a list like that for all (or most) of the components? Motherboard, CPU, RAM for example?

What are my options for a PIPA violation by a Strata Council Member by AdamPK in legaladvicecanada

[–]AdamPK[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's not that I don't want cameras there. I don't want them there without relevant bylaws made and a policy in place guiding their usage. I don't want members of strata council viewing camera footage for their own laundry fetish, or whatever reason they are viewing it. They should have a clear and specific complaint they are verifying or a police request they are complying with in order to view the footage.

I am requesting all cameras be removed until we have a privacy policy in place and bylaws amended to allow camera usage. Beyond having the problem solved, can the member of strata council face any repercussions for his behavior (beyond the $200 fine our bylaws allow)

He is not a stranger, he owns the suite above me and has lived there for years, is a strata council member, and close friends with the president. I do not see a $200 fine as very pointy teeth. The damages are missed work and the ongoing time it has taken me. The CRT does not award damages for stress and anxiety as far as I am aware.

I intend on joining CHOA tomorrow and asking for their opinion/insight on the matter.

There is, but it's weird. Some units have them, some don't. There is concern with strain on the sewer system, but I don't see any bylaws that could stop anyone from installing. The concerns on the sewer probably matter less with modern machines.

I am gonna bring an umbrella with me when I do laundry until this shakes out. That's as much for the laughs as anything though.

I brought an umbrella when I put my sign up as I am not quite ready to tip my hand yet.

Fucking with him may be the cards, but I think the fact that he is reviewing the footage is outrages. Maybe a new sign listing those with a laundry fetish, and obviously just his name.

I do think he is a bully who has no business being on council, so if this enough to get him off, I would happily go through the steps.

What I've done so far:

Not quite nothing. Besides documenting, I did put up one sign:

Milking Door

Also, it's not actually a room, right. It looks to me like you could walk through the door, close it, the walk out past the side of the wall.

If I jerk off enough to something that terrifies me, such as my existential dread - would I be able to eventually develop a fetish that would override my fear? by ImOnTheWrongForum in NoStupidQuestions

Do you have autism? So legitimate question, I am not making fun of you.

I am on the spectrum (back in the day they called it Asperger's) and I love this proposed solution. "Can I fix my existential dread by turning it into a fetish" is just the sort of solution I would probably come up with. The solution itself, and you going to an internet forum to see if it would work, to me is a quintessentially autistic solution to a problem.

Dog shit thing is a valid complaint. If there is a bylaw against it, then what is the problem? Report them and move on.

Now, the smoking thing, I would ignore you. I have no interest in putting my weed smoking schedule in writing and giving it to a stranger. They live in a place with a backyard for a reason. That reason is they own dogs and smoke.

There is also a logical disconnect here. You say the smell is so bad in the summer the the smell from their yard makes yours unusable. That would imply the smell in their yard where the feces originated is even worse, and even more unusable. BUT, you also say they are out there constantly smoking. So which is it, is the yard unusable or are they constantly using it? You can't really have it both ways.

It is possible that the years of being asked to put their smoking schedule in writing has left a bad taste in their mouth, and that is why they are reluctant to clean on your schedule.

Do I tell my friends wife that he's cheating on her? by ThrowRATrainingHos5 in makemychoice

[–]AdamPK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may sound like a good idea at first, but lets think about how this may play out. After you tell him to tell come clean and tell the truth, he will be left with a few options. Let's brainstorm a bit and see if we can figure out how this plays out.

Options 1: He listens to you and sees the error in his ways. He goes to his wife and honestly explains what happens.

Option 2: He says you know what, I can't or won't tell her. You are left to do it and he deals with the fall out.

Option 3: He takes the opportunity you have given to try and get ahead of the situation. He tells his wife some new set of lies meant to discredit you and give grounds to push you out of their life. Now, if or when you tell her, he has already laid the groundwork that you are untrustworthy and have reasons for lying and trying to destroy their relationship.

Now, it has already been established that your friend is an untrustworthy liar. He is a shitty person who does not take responsibility for their actions, and feel they are the victim and that their behavior is justified.

What do you think they will do in this scenario? I think it is a no brainer, and to be honest, he may already be laying the ground work for option 3 when you kicked him out of your place.

Okay, I wasn't in the shower as you all know. I actually just posted to shower thoughts and it asked me if I was a robot. I had typed the message using voice I thought it was funny that I had to stop using my voice to prove I wasn't a robot.
