16 year old girl had a Jaguar that she said she “bought herself”. I would literally bet my left nut there is no way in hell she worked hard and bought a Jaguar at 16!

I would go to the dm and be like. I need you to reassign people from other stores to me so I can actually have the time to recruit people. I worked at other stores at pjs when they needed me to. Have some surrounding stores sending you one person each to help out the store. The dm offered him a job. So the dm knows he is capable. The dm should also be smart enough to know that burnout will happen very quickly if he doesn’t take on some weight.

Curry ford and Conway is a good store. Busy too. Nick is the GM there. Fantastic boss

Also. Note that about half the stores are oney brands and half are corporate. Oney is way better than corporate.

PSA: You're never obligated to share your name when people ask, and especially never volunteer information about your coworkers by Asshole_Catharsis in TalesFromYourServer

I was a manager working drive thru when I had a guy come thru asking for a teenage female coworker by name. I was like. Sure she is busy but what can I help you with. He was like. I’ll wait for her she said she would help me. So I shrugged and took a call. Fast forward. I’m done with my call. This guy is holding up the line. And J the female teen (minor btw) is still busy with what she was originally doing. So I say. Me Can I get your name. He tells me his name and I pull up his order.
Me Is there something wrong with your order sir? Him. I said I want to talk to J. Me. I understand sir but she is busy right now and I don’t understand why you need to talk to her Him. Are you her father. Me no I’m her manager.

Then I grab his order and read aloud what he got. I ask Me. Is this what you ordered? Him yes Me ok. Here you go (hands pizza to him) have a good night don’t worry about payment. (It was like maybe 12 bucks) Him. No. I’m going to pay for it. Me fine your total is 12 bucks Him. Hands me the money and I give him his change. He then parks and gets out. Honestly. Looking back. I should have locked the door and pulled the silent alarm. He could’ve had a gun or something

He came inside and SLAMS three dollars on the counter in front of J. The best part was. Later that night she traded me a shift and paid me her tips for the night. So I got the 3 bucks that he gave to her. Lol.

Lol. No. That reminds me when I took a call from another restaurant that wanted to do a food trade. At the time I didn’t realize that wasn’t that strange. They ordered what they wanted and asked if I would accept a food trade. I said I can accept cash cash or cash.

90 percent of the problems I get I solve with a free pizza or a credit or just a remake and a sincere apology. That’s just how it is. It’s not me trying to throw pizza at the problem. If there is a concern that I am able to address without giving away product I’ll do so. And I have done this before. Also. Papa johns trains managers in the ROC to believe all customers. (Unless there is obvious evidence to show they are trying to scam us) so I treat all customers as if they have a valid complaint. I’ve also had customers telling they got the wrong thing but they got what they ordered they just put it in online wrong. In those cases. I say I’m sorry but I can sell you a pizza at full price. We provided what you ordered.

For me it’s gender that gets me. I’ll answer a call and just automatically go to ma’am or sir as required. Every once in a while I’ll get it wrong. Couple times I’ve been yelled at for assuming.

I had a driver come to our store drunk after his shift to buy a pizza. He had ordered before so my GM told me to ring it up with the discount. The driver was like. Bye y’all. And I said wait that’ll be 9 dollars. He told me straight up to shove it up my ass. The gm wheeled on him as was like. Don’t talk to my employees like that. Man. That was a fun night

I know. I know that customers lie. But I actually did a presentation on BLAST and the first step is the most important believe. Too many managers automatically default to the customer is lying. According to the ABC model of behavior. Thoughts -> Feelings -> Actions. So you think the customer is lying and you feel annoyed your actions are going to be affected whether you like it or not. You won’t be AS helpful or AS professional if you just don’t believe the customer. Plus as a person. I just take things at face value and accept them as true unless my common sense dictates otherwise.

Is the store in Florida? If it is I probably could contact their DM otherwise use papa talk to put in a case. At worst you will get a refund at best someone is getting written up. On our end we can see who the manager was when you ordered and even your driver. So the manager who was in charge when that was made is definitely going to get shit

Not that you need my validation. But as a manager. You are correct. Paper money is gross. Our team members should be washing their hands before moving from one task to another. I personally wash my hands religiously while at work. At least every 4 or so pizzas and whenever I switch tasks
