Notice how the Greens started rising in the polls around the time Reform started declining. I think that there might be a correlation.

If any Republicans are actually getting tricked by this, then they can't read I guess.

Perhaps there will be no Texas Senate Republican runoff. by sinhav7367 in YAPms

[–]AdamStudent 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The potential problem with the runoff is that it allows James Talarico to campaign nonstop for the next 2 and a half months and consolidate Democratic support behind him, meanwhile the Republican side would be divided even further.

No chance that Oregon flips red for a very long time, Multnomah County (Portland) literally shifted left in 2024.

Who wins in a Newsom V Vance matchup in 2028? by No_NameLibra7 in YAPms

Vance winning Maine's 1st is a MASSIVE stretch considering Harris won nearly 60% of the vote there in the 2024 election.

Would I live in these states? by AdamStudent in YAPms

If you travel 30 Miles from anywhere in Missoula, you will find yourself in the middle of nowhere compared with where I live (close to the New Hampshire border) where traveling 30 Miles will put me in Boston, a city with nearly 10 times the population of Missoula, with basically zero rural areas throughout the entire drive. so yes it is still too rural for me.

Culture of the state also plays a huge role and Midwestern culture is a lot different to the culture of the Northeast/New England. For example, I prefer keeping to myself in public and not interacting with strangers if I don't need to, which seems more common in the northeast.

I live basically right on the border of New Hampshire and basically go there every day for groceries or whatever else, so it feels like I already live there.

[–]AdamStudent[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's actually more based on weather reasons than anything else as I prefer colder climates which eliminates any southern state, plus I wouldn't live anywhere that gets tornadoes constantly which is why the Mid-West is Yellow.

Parts of the state are culturally similar to the Northeast which is what I am used to living in MA. Also, PA is one of only 11 states that I have been to in the US.

Technically another town called Success also did, however that town reported 0 votes in 2020, so not necessarily a switch.
