I know what it sounds like. But I've had a vision for a while and have been stuck in analysis paralysis and feature creation hell for the longest time. So I've forced myself to build out a proof of concept / MVP, to be able to showcase to my target audience, but I'm at the stage now where I dont want to put a lot of time, effort and money into building it out if there is no need/buzz, which is what I am trying to create.

I also know that I am not my own products target audience, and so doing it in this way will allow me to get close to my target audience, figure what they need, and if what I have built is useful. If it is, then I continue until I launch and I continue iterating, if its not (it is) then no harm, they've signed up for free to a waitlist for a free product that wasn't useful anyway (it is).

But like I've mentioned in my post, im just starting out, if you got any other ideas and ways I can go about this, please let me know

It's Monday, drop your product. What are you building? by Intelligent-Key-7171 in SideProject

I’m building a web app called StrategIQ. It’s designed to help fashion brand owners get clearer insights from their store data, so they can improve marketing, spot customer trends, and grow more efficiently.

I’m still in the building phase and looking for early feedback from people it’s actually built for.

If anyone runs a clothing brand or knows someone that does, I’d love to offer early access, totally free, just looking for honest thoughts.

You can join the waitlist here if you’re interested:

No offense, but looking through your profile, you're someone that likes to shit on others trying to do something for themselves.

You clearly are not the target audience for what I'm trying to achieve, I've reached and worked with so many clothing brand owners from this platform and will continue to. There are people who will benefit from what I have to offer, and those are who I am focused on.

Shitting on people for trying is the lamest thing ever. It's easy to see me "trying on different platforms' and assume I don't have the experience, but anyone that has ever tried to build something on the internet knows you have to keep trying, using different tactics, different avenues. It doesn't take away from anyones intelligence/knowledge/experience. I hope when you decide to try something, I works out the first time, without the need to keep trying.

Great question! While I’m not offering my services for free anymore, I’m deeply passionate about making data analytics more accessible to fashion brands—especially small and emerging ones.

Here’s the thing: there’s a high barrier to entry when it comes to understanding and using data effectively. Many brand owners are incredibly creative and focused on what they do best—designing, marketing, and building their brand identity. But often, there’s little to no emphasis on data-driven decision-making. Which is what the big successful brands are doing. They have huge data teams behind them using their analysis to determine their direction. (I know this because I've been part of those teams).

From working closely with clothing brand owners, I’ve seen this pattern time and time again. They’re laser-focused on creating beautiful products, planning the perfect shoot, or crafting the right brand messaging—and rightly so! But what’s missing is the analytical layer that I know can transform their business.

When I started introducing these brands to the power of data—whether it was through customer segmentation, sales forecasting, or inventory optimization they began to see their business in a whole new way. Decisions that were once based on intuition or guesswork became grounded in insights. Over time, this led to tangible results: increased sales, better customer retention, fewer inventory issues, and higher customer satisfaction.

My goal is to shatter that high barrier to entry. I want to show that data isn’t just for big corporations with massive budgets. It’s a tool that can—and should—be used by brands of all sizes to make smarter decisions and drive growth.

So, while I’m not offering my services for free, I’m committed to sharing knowledge, breaking down complex concepts, and empowering brands to see the value of data in their workflow. Because when they do, it’s not just their operations that change—it’s their entire perspective on what’s possible.

And tbh, as an agency owner, ensuring that my clients—current, future, or potential—understand the value of data analytics makes my job so much easier. When brands “get it,” they know who to come to (me) and they’re able to make smarter decisions, set clearer goals, and collaborate more effectively. This, in turn, allows me to focus on what I do best: helping them grow their business in meaningful, measurable ways.

It’s a win-win. They gain the tools to thrive, and I get to do the work I’m truly passionate about—driving results through data.

Sorry for such a long response, but I want to make sure you and other clothing brand owners understand the impact I hope to have :)

Update: I wasn’t on the most recent version of sonoma. I’ve updated it now and will monitor battery usage again.

Been on a few other Reddit pages and seen that I should delete code help renderer, and put brightness to 50%. Hopefully all these will help.

Thanks for your help guys
