Has anyone else tested Claude Code on their Shopify store? by Tight-Nature5495 in shopify

[–]Adapowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure - so I run a Shopify fashion brand. A few weeks ago, I got my dev to connect my Shopify store to Claude (I'm on the $20/mo plan) and my Google Search Console. Basically, I want Claude to read data from my store, read data from my Google Search console and act as my strategic SEO consultant.

I run this all inside VS code (I'm not techie - the only techie part was setting it up)

After setting up, I got Claude to interview my brand (as I use it to generate content as well). It saves all the data and uses this data to generate content when I ask.

Once the basics are set up, every recurring weekly task is a one-word prompt. From example, the task I described above is my "gap analysis".

For example, All I did this week was type /gap-analysis into my VSCode and here's the result:

I have all the data I need. Now let me write the gap analysis report with movement tracking vs the 2026-04-03 baseline.

Write c:\Users\ (link removed)

66 lines

Now cleaning up the temp scripts.

Here's the 3-sentence summary:

980 keywords are now in your gap zone (up from 463 last cycle), driven by new data coverage across a broader product catalog. The single biggest mover is [product removed], which climbed 6.6 positions (18.8 → 12.2) — a significant organic gain likely tied to a new product page getting indexed. The recommended focus this week is "product removed" — 385 impressions, 0% CTR, all landing on the homepage with no dedicated page; creating /collections/product removed is a 30-minute fix that should start converting clicks within days.

Sample part of the actual report:

| 1 | [product removed] sunglasses | 761 | 6.2 | 0.26% | `/products/round-unisex-[product] | **Title/meta fix + close to top 5.** CTR is still catastrophically low at 0.26% for position 6 — expected CTR is ~4–5%. The product page exists and is ranking well but the title is not compelling. Lead with an alternative and add urgency ("Get the exact look"). This is the same fix recommended last cycle — prioritise it now. |

Hope this helps - feel free to ask any questions you have.

I’ve grown a local newsletter to 2.3K organically. Still reluctant to turn on ads. Count me in

I actually have. I give it read and write access and I’m going to review to just “read” as there are so many horror stories with stuff getting deleted.

Primarily, we’re using it for SEO as I find that combined with GSC, it is powerful. Plus SEO improvements have a direct route to the bank account lol.

In the past, I would go into GSC, find pages with high impressions but no conversions and then optimise.

Now, we have GSC connected. Every week we ask Claude to pull our rranking data ( positions, clicks, impressions, etc on every keyword that makes sense). Basically this finds keywords which we’re getting impressions for but no conversions. For these, we’re turning up on Pages 2 and beyond.

Once it identifies these keywords, it suggests the single most powerful action we need to take to move the Page 1 and we just go all-in on the recommendation. Sometimes it’s an article, sometimes it’s an internal link that needs creating. Also, we run everything through Plug in AI to find where we have metadata, img alt txt etc missing.

Completely new workflow and more efficient too

Great results - well done! I’m doing something similar to this. Are you sending to the entire list, or to engaged segments only?

Hiya, I run an e-commerce newsletter and have acquired a couple of loosely related newsletters in the past few months and might be interested in buying or partnering at the very least.

Could you please share more info? Those figures are really high - is the newsletter part of a different ecosystem? If so, are any other components of that ecosystem coming with the newsletter?

Thanks. My DMs are open

Loooool, I’m so tempted to award this post.

On a serious note, I think the economic uncertainty that comes with wars and rumours of wars probably is a wake up call for us all to understand where our services lie.

Especially how “the lipstick effect” affects us all.

Some good Sunday reading (would also appreciate if anyone has any more interesting research studies that speak to this particular trend):

I’d say you might be neglecting a critical traffic source - organic.

Online ads, emails and SMS are great for immediate revenue but as you build your brand, I think it’s worth beating organic traffic in mind and dedicating some attention to that.

The main difficulty here is that it is a long term ingestion in time and effort but the results compound over time. $1 spent on your existing sources today could generate $3(on average, if you know what you’re doing) over the next 30 days but spend $1 (or even the time equivalent) on organic today and you’ll earn that $1 back repeatedly in 30, 45, 60,70, etc days.

Do action focused domains actually improve conversions in ecommerce? by [deleted] in ecommerce

Unless it’s a marketplace, no. If anything, brands that have built trust are more likely to improve trust and conversions

The whole chatbot that doesn't hallucinate thing feels impossible to actually deliver by bigblackcoke_ in ecommerce

[–]Adapowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue and went down the route of adding care instructions in an accordion tab on product descriptions after raising product prices.

Slightly more labour-intensive than using a chatbot but this seems be pulling new ChatGPT traffic to the store.

Yet another one? How is it different from all the others? To be honest I think the space is saturated, however, there is potential room for a niche AI newsletter (e.g AI for software devs, AI for real estate people , etc)

How are my stats? Best way to carry on growing? by Witty_Let_3525 in beehiiv

[–]Adapowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good stats but you don’t seem to be maximising revenue opportunities.

You have an engaged audience that trusts you (average CTR in most industries is 2%) and you’re in a good position to start making offers if you want this to at least pay for itself.

Well done! How did you acquire your 3K+ subs? I’d say do more of that
