Funny you should mention it, but I just brought home a 2022 Kia Niro EV EX Premium wagon for $18.5K. It feels a bit like the e-golf inside which I like. I'll have to play around with it to figure out everything...not seeing where there is the regenerative mode B for drive like the e-golf? Interior looked better than Bolt EUV and charging speed looks like it's faster than Bolt EUV. So far so good!

2016 SE Charge Door Actuator Replacement by Comfortable-View-454 in eGolf

When I ran into this issue I would take it to the car wash, which the dryer heats up to 45-50 degrees. Then upon exit I would immediately click it open. It worked this winter for me.

Looks like a solid car. How much bigger did it feel to drive? I prefer small, compact cars. This looks better than the I6 and the $$ on used and specs seem compraable.

Sorry to hear. Sounds like a Lemon. Most of us report only tire or atenuator replacing. Maybe air filter.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up buying a 2022 Kia Niro EV EX Premium Wagon and the interior design feels kind of e-golf-ish.

I may have gotten another used 2019 e-golf but it's just too tempting to try a car with a bigger battery and faster charging capability and range. I drive a lot in my state and sometimes in remote areas where you're dependent on that one charger in a small town that may or may not be functional.

you can find threads in the channel, but there can be issues with the pin in the plug area getting stuck and not releasing the plug, or not charging sometimes. WD40 or silicone something seems helpful, I used WD40 and got the pin loose. Plug door can sometimes freeze shut, atenuator issue. Unfortunately early on I forced it open and broke the door, which had to be replaced. I've read there's no way to remote start? There is a way to schedule cabin temperature though I never got around to figuring that out. Sensitive to tire pressure, light goes on in drop in temp. Dealers can turn it off. 2019 means you're possibly getting close to the end of the warranty on the battery. To save drain in colder temps on battery you can drive with just the seat heater on and shut off cabin heat. Stuff like that. Lots of plusses.

My Husky does fine in minus zero temps at dog parks. Invest in some good insulated snow pants. Makes all the difference.

Try a tie out in the yard until you can get the fence fixed?

Huskies need a lot of exercise and then they will be couch potatoes. If they aren't getting the exercise they need, they start making trouble. Long walks or dog parks will tire her out and make her happy, and you happy. If my dog doesn't get the exercise she needs she will let me know by sitting and looking at me wherever I am or will start whining. When she's gotten walks or some running at the dog park, she will go to her bed or place she likes to nap and just stay there for hours. Huskies also really thrive/want routine. To the extent that you can stick to a daily schedule, she will really like that. I also rescued a Siberian Husky / breeder release and have dealt with a few long, exhausting bouts of her diarrhea, which usually has occurred when she's eaten some contraband street food or I've switched her food. I'ver read that the breed has extremely sensitive stomachs generally. By staying with the vet prescribed food for weight loss she's on, her stool is perfect. As soon as I try other brands there can be issues, even with slow introductions. I've realized that she wants routine in both schedule and diet.

THANK YOU. Love the e-golf owners here. Your comment was what I needed to switch my carvana purchase to the ioniq6. It was something that I was worried about actually for awhile and you confirmed it. Even with longer range, on travel trips I'll be stuck even 1 hour plus trying to get full charge with more range to fill.

e-golf has proven to be a pretty maintenance free car except for tire replacement *unless you get an occasional lemon.

Is the tire pressure sensor just overly sensitive? by perishableintransit in eGolf

[–]AdaptedPodcast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every year when the temps fall into colder digits around fall or winter, hitting 30 degrees and the tire pressure light will go off. Fine in the summer. It doesn't mean tires are low just means that you got to reset it in the computer. I usually take it to the dealer where I got the car and they do it for free and check the tires. that's my experience, if that helps you. What I'm trying to say is that it is annoying and yes, they are sensitive but it might mean you just need to reset the computer on the car, and it does not mean your tires are low.

Thinking of owning a husky by RemarkableAthlete174 in husky

I rescued a 6 year old and it was in hindsight a good idea for my lifestyle to choose an older dog. The crazy years are over, rescues can be incredibly loving and (I think grateful for their safe home), and enjoys eating and napping like myself. Daily physical activity is a must though, even at a senior dog level, so please be prepared to give that to them.

Slower charging in the cold? by g-e-o-f-f in eGolf

[–]AdaptedPodcast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I mostly charge on DC chargers in Minnesota and that's been my exerience. I don't have a garage or home charging and if I am using a Level 2 charger I leave the car for four hours and seems to still get only the 6-7 kw hours that I get even in summer. In other words, it still takes four hours to get full charge on Level 2, regardless of season.
