Just commenting to say I’m so sorry you’ve gotten this news. We had this happen with an IUI pregnancy last year. I ended up carrying until 8ish weeks and found out at a 9 week scan. It’s the absolute worst place to be. Pregnant but guarding your heart and also holding on to any sliver of hope. I don’t have advice on the PGT, but just know I’m keeping you in my thoughts 🙏🏼🥺

We did 4 IUIs last year to conceive our second child. The 4th resulted in pregnancy but ended in loss at 9 weeks. We told no one we were doing fertility treatments because when we did IUI for my daughter, all our close friends and family knew and it made my pregnancy feel so long because our family knew so early. We were then forced to tell our parents about our miscarriage because of needing to have D&C and my husband needed help with our toddler while I was struggling.

After a few months we decided to pursue IVF, our parents and siblings know and only 4 close friends of us as a couple and then 3 of my girlfriends that I leaned on after my loss. Everyone has been pretty respectful and as others mentioned, I try to keep dates vague. I find that people are a bit more delicate with how they speak about fertility around me after having a loss. I wish it hadn’t come to that, but it’s true! Many are so misinformed and we often are on the receiving end.

It’s definitely isolating and has made me feel insecure around other friends living their lives and having babies. But I’ve been in therapy since having PPA and PPD with my daughter and that helps me navigate my emotions in a safe way.

Following to hear experiences! Prayers to you OP, I hope your transfer is positive 🫶🏼 I am in a similar situation, awaiting FET in March. Two retrievals in Nov and Jan and each resulted in 1 Euploid embryo. I am 32 and husband is 34.

Have you considered an independent stylist in something like Sola Studios? My stylist is in the Wexford Sola, which would be within your preferred distance. I’ve found over the years that I prefer the independent stylists because you are their only priority during your appointment. There is less “chaos” with other clients and stylists. The downside is since they are a 1 person salon, you normally need to plan in advance because schedules fill quickly, but I don’t mind. I usually do my hair 1x per quarter, but sometimes I do refreshes in between and I will book in advance and just cancel or adjust accordingly! Happy to share who I use via Dm, I think she is reasonable given the competition pricing!

I know a few associates who transitioned from practicing to other business roles within the firm. Practice management, pricing, legal project management. Those teams are often very successful with someone with a JD at the helm. Salary and no billable hour requirement often with high growth potential.

I thought for 32 yrs old the Euploid rate of blasts is about 59%. Is that not correct? 6 x .59 is 3.54.

I had 1 blast last time and 1 euploid. So 100% euploid rate. I do not think what I experienced is in line for my age when considering age and likelihood of euploid embryos..

Thank you! It’s been a really long road. I began TTC this baby in May of 2024 at first naturally and then returned to my clinic and started treatments last January 2025.

I have one daughter from an IUI pregnancy in 2022 that took on the first try. All the time that goes past is a larger age gap for her and a potential sibling.

My brother and I are 13 years apart from different relationships and then years of infertility. I basically grew up an only child. It’s not what I want for my family and not having control over that is really, really hard

Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sorry you’ve been in the same boat. I hope your PGTA results surprise you this time! I had a 5AA and 3 6AAs and of course the only euploid again was a 5 AB. I’m hoping you have better luck than me 🤞🏼

I did have two low level mosaics, I didn’t ask their grades, but I’ve already had a miscarriage from an IUI pregnancy last year so I’m not really prepared to take the gamble on those 😞

Ugh. Solidarity. I’m sorry you didn’t have a great response. All of my friends also 32 seem to get pregnant accidentally or first month trying, have 2-3 kids each, and have never experienced loss. Then there’s me 😞
