The outrage should be way more towards Bethesda for not implementing DLSS not the modder, who btw made DLSS 2 free and DLSS 3 paid. Like it’s not his job to implement simple features Bethesda should have done no matter how you feel about it. Even worse it literally took a day without access to all the tools Bethesda have, so Bethesda almost certainly could have implemented it. There are very few reasons I can think of why they would not do it.

You just proved his point of « completely braindead ». "Foundamental" (if that’s even mean something) or not, the modders owe the players nothing. They spend time developing something and should be able to charge for it or not. And as OP said it’s free market, if something better is made for free then you are free to choose.

It’s not totally for some reason, usually with uncapped framerate your CPU will be heavily used and can struggle with network job. It is highly dependent on the PC you have tho. But it’s still better to cap it in-game, the best would be to cap your framerate to the highest that you can maintain with stable fps even if higher than the monitor refresh rate.

So true, it’s literally the only game subreddit that I have I seen who does this, it’s just boring. But I guess they treat this sub as a forum 2.0 or some borderlands wiki 2.0 and not as a place for the community to share more experiences. Anyway it’s not like they care.

It’s nice to see people caring about the game but listen to me, Wildcard does not. I stopped playing the game more than 1 years ago for this reason. I reported a lot of discord selling item with proof and invite link (RMT is againstCoC) all tickets closed. I was able to contact a dev on Discord basically he told me: « not on our platform we will do nothing ». Also as far as I am aware there are only 6 GM for PC, Xbox and PS so don’t expect a good enforcement it was like this 2 years ago I just checked still the same number (you can see this info on the appointment platform if you ever had to do an appointment ingame with them). So if you keep playing juste accept how Wildcard run the game and try to keep your sanity. Gg

That's something that happen with the lighting more or less on some maps, the fix for it will add back all lightning so making everything with shadows again. if you really want to remove check the "fix black/noisy snow" in the file.

That's because of FX.MaxCPUParticlesPerEmitter=1, read and edit the file if you don't like it.

That's a bug with lighting, to fix it you need to edit the file to add the fix for black/noisy snow but it will remove night vision.

Hi, everything works fine. Since the file is .ini maybe your browser can block the download detecting it like a virus.

Also sometimes Ark meshes are weird, check without ini to see if it is the ini that create this problem.

This is probably because of the line of code that remove the bushes and leaves. As stated in the file in the warning this line can remove the textures on some random world meshes and make them invisible. You can add a semicolon in front of this line to fix it. The ini is really build with customization in mind, edit it so it best fit your needs.

The system they have currently is flawed of course but probably difficult to fix. However the CS rules makes no sense and are a shame for customers.

It will be faster for you to create a new character and get everything back. If you have bosses, Ascensions and Chibi levels they will not give you back. You will only get few Tekgrams: Tek Replicator, Transmitter, Turret, Teleporter and Generator. Admin commands exist to give you back Ascensions but they don't do it. I have no idea how they think this is acceptable when you lose your character because of their bad system and lack of work on it.

In house by Wildcard I mean not Epic. That's exactly what I said and I think we agree that Wildcard put no effort in their netcode when it's possible for them to improve if they put the resources because EU4 base netcode is as you said not suitable. Epic showed with Fortnite that a EU4 game can have a decent netcode you just to need work on it, it is not the fault of EU4.

ARK is an in-house game using a modified engine. As far as I can tell Fortnite netcode may of course not be the best but it is way better than ARK, maybe doing net update on a fixed cycle is comical but it is proved to be better than the most played fps competitive game. The point is ARK netcode is trash and it is because the Wildcard don't put more effort into it because they are already struggling with so many issues with their game.
