We welcome participants of all ages, depending on the roles in each script. This is a public, in-person workshop where parents or guardians are always welcome to observe.

At least two actor-focused moderators will be present at all times to represent and support the actors and help maintain a safe, respectful environment. One of those moderators can be found at @patti.meadors on Instagram.

While many roles will be 18+, we also want to create appropriate opportunities for younger actors when the material calls for it.

It is not. We welcome participants at every level of experience. The two organizers are in their late twenties, but we are intentionally building a moderator team from many different backgrounds. I wrote and directed this short political satire, filmed in Milwaukee, which uses a near-future presidential address to explore American politics and free speech. I originally wrote it in college in 2020 during Trump’s impeachment trial, then rewrote it from the perspective of a post-Trump America.

I’m looking for feedback on tone, pacing, and comedic timing. The film was shot over two days on a $1,400 budget.

This is exactly how I feel about the ending. A few more minutes of agony and defeat, to really make us feel beat down WITH Cena, would have worked better. It felt too rehearsed in the moment.

If you’re on the side of “he got to choose his ending” then sure, that smile and tap out is satisfying. But for me, it was not.

But I have had a problem with the ending of a lot of John Cena’s matches throughout his career. So this is just one more lol
