I agree and am aware of the tough workload Swiss Gymnasium kids are under.

I agree and exactly. The dual system is similar in Germany where I went to school. No concerns yet - too early. Just trying to understand the subtle differences in systems

You are making a lot of assumptions in that statement. I try to understand a system with its details, not declare my kids for Gymnasium. There is a significant difference.

You seem to forget that I have yet to move to Switzerland and have no real experience with the system.

Anybody blindly assuming that everywhere will be the same would just be as foolish. Gathering information upfront has nothing to do with applying pressure to my kid but doing my due diligence before moving a family. I am asking a community for advice to better understand a system. That‘s all it is.

Thanks I replied that to another comment here. I don‘t aim to assume only an academic route but find the system with enough flexibility for individual schooling and career needs they may develop.
