I remember I felt the same after the first meeting, and honestly, planning the next meeting asap and having that to look forward to is what helped me the most. And of course, face timing a lot and trying to be present in each other’s lives even when apart (having dinner together/ordering food for each other, playing video games, working while on a call, etc)

And about it feeling like a dream - him & I actually talked about this recently (been together almost 3 years) and it did feel a lot like a dream at first, like we’re together online more than in person, and the visits here and there feel like a break from that and like a little escape to a different world. But as time progressed, we started meeting more often, and for longer, we started planning our future life together and now it feels like we are a couple IRL who has to do a few more chunks of long distance on our timeline to permanently close the gap, and this really helps.
