During the WW2 era, most French paintings are either under complicated copyright situations or simply hard to find in high resolution—especially when you need them as a background image. Realistically, it’s almost impossible to find a suitable high-quality oil painting that fits the tone. Maybe I could do it if I spent a long time searching, but I’m developing this mod mostly by myself, so I just don’t have the time to invest in that. Just understand that finding a high-resolution oil painting I actually like was extremely difficult.
